Guys we are not going to need an additional 65 GB to download this update. It is going to delete our current and re download the game. It will free up space on our hard drives with the game being a total size of the 65 GB. Everyone can calm down now
This is not the way it worked for me. I had about 60Gb free on my hard drive, and the launcher threw the "not enough space" error. I had to delete the PTS folder so I could tell the launcher to install it again.0 -

I have an Emerald External hard drive for my console and, true to its word, it can hold a terabyte which is especially good for games with huge data downloads.
This is a not a solution for people who like playing on SSD's. I'd rather not have to resort to installing the game on one of my several inferior hard drives.
i just deleted everything except the Launcher. Update size remained same and no more "Out of Space" errors.0 -
