Gold Buyers?

While a promote a zero tolerance policy vs. gold buyers and sellers, i have to say you can easiliy use up 500k Gold, especially over 8 Characters.
Pack and Speed Horse for all of them alone is more than that. Even on one character:
    84k Pack and speed horse
    25k upgrades for the horses
    ~40k backpack upgrades
    ~60k bank upgrade (guessing)
We are already looking at more than 200k and this is without expenses for e.g. legendary tempers @ max level, or buying some hundred glyphs to level enchanting.
This is part of the reason people buy gold in the first place (mind you i said reason, i do not want to excuse it).

I personally believe that if you are caught buying gold, firstly you should have the gold removed without a warning or suspension, but an email saying "We see what you did etc etc".

If they do it again, then the account is banned. The people who buy gold are supporting accounts being hacked, so they can buy their gold.

Personally I'm on 110k+ gold at the moment, which I've gained from level 1 to VR2 without any need to buy gold. So people are struggling to get gold in this game, really need to Learn 2 Play.

I am struggling with gold, but i am not VR2.
Over my chars i have all crafts over 30, bank fully upgraded, bags on main upgraded. I have bought one item from another player for less than 1 repair costs.
I can not afford a new horse at the moment,

Could you enlighten me how and where i can learn to play?

dont repair gear, replace it by crafting your own for free, quest rewards or mob drops.

dont pay for ports, run to a wayshrine, its free.

never buy anything, make it yourself for free.

    dont respec.

basically there is no manditory cost on anything other than bags and horses and coin acquired from leveling far exceeds the amount needed

the prices of horses are OP to start with for sure tho, i get where that would chew into it

It's not a Learn 2 Play issue, it's a priorities issue. If you're working to obsessivly increase your crafting as much as possible, particularly in multiple skills (like Clothing, Blacksmithing, and Woodworking), it's entirely possible you simply won't have that kind of income. I'm at 29, and only just cleared 10k for the first time on my main. I've also got three crafting skills in the 15-18 range.

Buyers / Sellers there is no difference both should be removed, use flamethrowers if you must do but they must be gone.

sellers and buyers should be not warned, they must be banned and that asap!

Buyers and Sellers should get the same treatment. Ban them both from the game, there is no place for either of them. It's the buyers that are cheating and the sellers that are aiding that cheating. No warnings, no slap on the wrist, just ban them all.

Yeah sure, but not one point of your list has anything to do with l2p

Part of it is simply *** up design, for example crafting new items cheaper than repairing.
Part of it is not possible if you want to explore the game, for example to test things out you will have to respec. Especially without open beta.
Part of it is inconvenient, way more inconvenient than to have no money.

Sorry for the derail, ill shut up now, but i hate this l2p ***. Maybe I need to l2p if i cant beat doshia pre nerf.

The issue is, Doshia invalidates some, otherwise, legitimate builds. If you've been leveling up, focusing on single target, melee attacks (like Assassination), it's possible you can't even switch to an AoE or ranged attack to deal with her orbs. Making that fight a lot harder.

But, rather than actually offer advice, a lot of the "lolz tl:dnr werdz i hard" can just spout off "l2p nub" like the incontinent howler monkeys they are.

Not to brag but I disowned Doshia at lvl 8 pre nerf. :3

I could see however why people could have a probelm there.

I always wished they could track the gold, catch a gold seller delete all his gold plus whatever that seller sold too. That way at some point people will have to stop throwing real life cash toward something they may never keep or get.

As I understand it, goldbuyers are getting their gold balance zeroed. Though, that could have been a one off thing.

Well hopefully this is happening, I just think a perma ban should be issued if it happens ever again. I mean first time..didn't know, alright. However if you were warned and buy again your an idiot. Gold balance should be reset to zero with first warning. Either way hopefully all the sellers and spammers go away once the buyers can no longer purchase the gold due to the penalty.

It isn't enough to enforce this either, as I think they also need to detail this on the launcher so that all potential gold buyers see that this behavior is not tolerated in the elder scrolls.

Surely, they can tell from account histories to whom reported gold sellers have transferred gold. Ban both.

I hit her in the final stress test beta at 9. The issue with her isn't that she's hard, it's that she does invalidate some legitimate character builds, without any warning that "this is a really bad idea for a build."

Because of how TESO works, it's not a crippling blow, but I'm not going to start throwing around insults at people who can't clear her.

make it punishable by zeroing the acct back to starter but no ban unless they do it again. its a business after all. now what to do if they sent money to friends, guildies to buy them all the fast mounts for pvp? or if they bought crafting upgrades and sent them on? in short, it sounds like a real labor intensive detective job to see all areas of exploitation.

Nah just take gold away, as said before levels are earned. No need to parma ban first offense as no mmo does this. Just need to warn/suspend/ zero gold, and then perma ban next offense. BTW EVE online and Runescape both do a suspension/warning first and perma ban after, and they as strict as you can get. The sellers are always perma banned instantly for trying to make a profit off the game.

Why are this thread so long. It has been proven for years that the problem is the gold BUYER. Simple economics. No demands, your supply isnt worth anything.

Permaban any gold buyer. If you have a friend who buys gold, then congratulations. Your friend just added not 1 but 10 more goldspammers to the game.

This is like talking to childen around looking both ways before corssing a street. Do NOT buy gold and there will be no goldsellers in due time
