I take it you guys aren't as harsh on buyers considering they're not included in the auto ban process. Which is fine, as I believe gold buyers should be warned, then suspended, than banned for repeat offenses.

This is why I started the thread, you should read the OP.
Also if you read the entire thread you will see that I never defended gold buyers, although some get this impression because I don't want to see them all perma banned for their first offense.
Reason Why this was made: To openly debate and discuss what the penalty should be for gold buying and selling, and to offer my opinion.

You must be missing something.
I made this thread to help bring attention to those that are in violation of the TOS, and also to discuss what should be done about them.
I'm very sorry you disagree with my opinion on the matter, however this is no reason to attack me and twist my words around. How do you know anyone violated the TOS?

✭@AlliN There not going to go into great detail with any actions being taken no more then they have for cheaters, hackers and so on thus far.
Remember they keep the findings of any investigations to themselves, to protract privacy and the like, so just expect general statements and the knowledge problems are being dealt with has they come up.
Just my thinking anyhow.

The point is that buying gold disrupts the ESO community as much as the gold seller spam.
Either parties need to be punished in order to deter their further activities, and I hope the punishments are severe.4 -

I played Gw2 for 3 months and there was no gold sellers spamming. They had a system where you could only send a few emails and tells in a certain amount of time. You cold also buy gem cards, and buy and sell gold on the trading post thing. I thought that was a good system. Might be a better solution than banning paying customers.0 -

I agree here and also would like to add maybe they could do this with game time tokens or something, so you could buy your buddies game time, or trade them in for gold. On top of this they should add an anti gold buying/selling warning to the launcher that these acts are prohibited and will result in the forfeiture of your in game account starting - (such and such date)....this would permanently scary all buyers away from buying this way and give them another way to buy gold that helps other legit players out. In this way legit/honest players wouldn't have to pay for their subscription cause they could pay for it with in game gold.
This or something else should be implemented very soon cause the botting and stuff is getting crazy, and my ignore list has been full since day three/four of early access.
