We hope this Scroll finds you well.
Our soothsayers have determined that the minions of Molag Bal have unjustly relieved you of some of your hard-won possessions. The mages in charge of our wards of protection are deeply sorry for this oversight. They wish to assure you that they have identified each and every adventurer who lost items, as well as each and every item that was lost. They are busily summoning the missing items back from Molag Bal’s vaults in Coldharbor.
Keep an eye on your in-game mailbox. Your items will be returned to you as soon as they become available.

The fix will not be retroactive, but once we push it live, our support team will work individually with those players who were affected by the issue.
It's likely the agent who contacted you meant that restorations are just not being done currently, as we're not planning to restore lots items/gold/skill points until we push the larger fix. Hope this clarification helps.
That is completely opposite of what I was told. I was told, quite clearly, that they know who has lost items and exactly what was lost, and that those missing items would be sent via in game mail. Though I have yet to actually see anything. We hope this Scroll finds you well.

So which is it? I've lost so many items due to these bugs that I personally can't keep track of them.
TESO's code is huge, really freaking huge.felixgamingx1 wrote: »How many people in DEV team if they coded it themselves why can't they spot the issue? Why taking so long?

Think of it like this: You have a 12 volume set of 1000 page books in front of you. You wrote them with the help of fifty other people. Somewhere, in one of those books, someone used a comma instead of a period. Go find it.
It's actually a little easier than that, they can narrow down what's causing the bug to some degree, and make some intelligent guesses as to where it is. But, this isn't a six line "hello world" demo program. Finding what's causing this is not a simple task.

I do hope you realize you are also compensating game time to EVERYONE as well. This is truly game breaking and no way many of will continue without both ingame and account time compensation. If you do not think ots fair your welcome to log in and try to play my toon currently. Good luck with no empty slots.
So what does ZOS say about this?

So what does ZOS say about this?
I always get a little iffy when people are saying, "Zenimax NEEDs to give us some extra time, gratis." I agree that it would be a nice gesture, but the posts always leave me feeling like I've just read a hollow ultimatum. No offense.

It works exactly nothing like that unless they are coding in notepad and not using a code repository. I find bugs and issues in programs much much larger and more complex than ESO all the time.
You test and debug and follow the execution path. And tools like a proper IDE makeing finding references throughout your code a cinch.

It was a metaphor for a non-programer. Obviously this wasn't someplace obvious, or it would have been detected by now.
