I mean, let's be honest, nowhere is it stated that open world PvP is going to or even supposed to be fair. Some may argue that it's pretty much the whole point of it being open world compared to pre-defined arena style PvP. We have battlegrounds and dueling for those.
But even then, Morgha, you've admitted yourself that you play in a very uncompetitve way. One bar, hybrid builds, no impen and "5k DPS is enough for me". You've never had a chance for a fair fight with anyone even remotely competent in PvP. Regardless if it was a 1v1 or 1v10.

I took my L28 Templar into the Imperial City today. He had been working his backside off for about 2 years gathering Tel Var stones, killing off Daedra and the like. I rarely ever saw other players, and usually just avoided them.
Tonight, I was fighting with a couple of daedra as part of a quest line. It's a PvE quest line, even though it's in a PvP zone. While fighting the NPCs, I found I was also fighting a human player from the Aldmeri Dominion. Ok, I thought. One on one, this could be interesting. However, not only was HE max level compared to my L28, and about 500CP, but is FIVE other friends were also max level. So, they permastunned me and basically just killed me off while I was unable to fight back. What fun. I expect it was a wonderful challenge for them.
So, I lost about a year's worth of Tel Var stones, and carried on. I noticed I was near a Skyshard, so I made my way there. I saw a Dominon player using it, so I waited until he was done, then went in to use it myself. As soon as I started using it, he and his 8 friends all started attacking me. What sportsmanship. What fun.
THIS is ALWAYS my experience of PvP. Nothing but giant ganks and poor sportsmanship. YEARS of collecting Tel Var stones ruined, and NO fun had.
I know what people will say about this, and I really don't much care. I just needed to vent, and to express my disappointment with the lack of sportsmanship, and the lack of anything resembling a fair fight. This is why I don't PvP. I suspect I'm not the only one that feels this way.
What? Years worth? Haven't you heard of banks?
Pvp is pvp, don't go there if pvp behaviour annoys you. The whole point of this type of gameplay is to kill other players. SMH...
HERES THE THING, YOU KNEW IT WAS PVP. IN A PVP ENVIROMENT, YOU CANT GET MAD. Its like saying '*** how did the NSA get all my data???' You agreed to it when you clicked the I Agree button, you signed up for it.
I don't want to seem like I'm offending in any way.
But what's to gain from this Thread, yeah telvar can be frustrating but that's just IC?
Sorry again I don't want to seem like I'm insulting or anything, I just don't understand.
IC is meant to be a high-risk high reward system, that's why there's a telvar multiplier.
Having that much Tel Var on one character without spending it etc would be just unthinkable for me.

If its not fun, then don't do it. If one goes to PvP area getting killed by OP players or groups is to be expected and fair. I myself don't like questing on PvP areas and dislike PvP with power progression in general so it's very deep in my todo list.
As for not knowing one can bank telvar, one can't know everything but still, ignorance is just a handicap, not an excuse.
I lost all the Tel Var you got from the dailies when I first stepped into IC, I think it was even around 50k. The game's terrible at telling you stuff like this. But hey, that was 1,5 years ago, water under the bridge. IC can anger me immensely but I do enjoy it, and I'm saying that as solo PvE player who pops in there from time to time, only to inevitably get turned into mashed potatoes. There's something really fascinating in dark, narrow sewer tunnels and bleak, dimly lit ruins of the city. I feel like a guerilla fighter behind enemy lines, looking around every corner, sneaking around and generally just trying to survive. Danger can literally be everywhere nd it can be very exciting. The first time I safely navigated the sewers from AD base back to my own EP base was truly thrilling and I had a great feeling of accomplishment. I don't focus that much on the Tel Var, it's hard and boring to farm them in large amounts but I do enjoy the overall atmosphere and the feeling of dread that accompanies the exploration. Really, I'm not trying to bash, but try changing your attitude and maybe you'll find the same enjoyment in Imperial City as I did.

Actually, I'd love to see the Imperial City (and all of Cyrodiil) as it is when there's no war, just as a regular zone. There's some truly spectacular art in place, and so many people who don't want to PvP will never see it. But, that's a whole other thread.
Why in hell were you carrying so many stones?
That's the first problem.
2nd problem, you expect a fair fight in pvp. Its faction based and you should never expect a 1v1.
I'm also curious as how you collected that many TVs and are only at level 28?
You cant queue for pvp until lvl 10. Doesnt add up.
