Things you dont want to see in Skyrim Chapter?
    New classes, any new classes.
I would very much like to see specialization options for the existing ones instead...
I really, really don't want the Skyrim chapter or DLC to be something I could get from booting up TES V Skyrim & its DLCs.
Agreed, all and any "Dragonborn" thing had been done with TES-V:Skyrim, vampire hunting was in TES-V:Dawnguard, and Dragons have been done with both that and new Elsweyr, so I really don't want to see any of that.
(Well, I might like to see some vampire hunting, but not as a "Dawnguard" recap... and not in skyrim. Maybe if they make some other region for that someday...)
If Skyrim, then a different skyrim! See how things changed between ESO-then and Skyrim-now, certainly some things did change in the millenium in between, right? Same locations, different times, different stories, that is what I hope for! (Much like Morrowind...)
    TheFM wrote: »
The grappling hooke should be staple for all future quest lines, absolutely no reason ot to do it, adds a layer of depth to the d ungeons.
Heck, I'd want it refitted to all old regions as well, to give people a reason to go back through other places and look where they can hook themselves some extras... never needed as in the dragonguard quests, but always optional, get an extra treasure chest, or even better, a special kind of "dragonguard cache" treasure chest, and an achievement if you find them in all the hidden places around tamriel...

Of course, I wished this for a lot of things. Had I meen asked, I'd have told them to give out some small special perk with every regional storyline too! Like, save the king in stormhaven, get a vendor discount in the covenant, defeat the maulborn in deshaan, get a smidge of extra disease resistance, resolve the issues with the shadow wood in greenshade, get a tad of extra health recovery... something like that, where you feel like every big questline has some reward that is priceless rather then just a skill point and some item you most likely are gonna decon anyhow...
(For that reason I -adore- them giving out the topal corsair outfit for quest completions in southern elsweyr, and wish they had though of that before, or would refit it to other regions...)
I'm not "against" new classes (Bard or Monk or whatever) but I'd be much happier if devs devote their time making new skill lines for existing characters instead. Spellsword weapon (or 1h+rune/focus/whatever), Alteration, Illusion, and Conjuration staves, Vampire Lord, Unarmed, Dragonguard guild, Dawnguard guild, Bard's College guild, and even "Reach magic" are all far more interesting than starting another level 1 character.
I am against new classes, for the "start another new alt" reason as much as for the "Oh, noes, this new class would have made so much more sense for that character of mine..."
So, yeah, I would want to see stuff that can be refitted to -any- character instead!
    But I would say that, wouldn't I:

The only thing I don't want to see is them reducing the playable size of the part of Skyrim they give us. That would disappoint me tremendously.

I think they do that to reduce zone size or Gbs of data in each of the zones they are adding in. Next year they are removing a lot of old data that is no longer used and just sitting there. Once they clear all that out they might be able to do more stuff with zones and chapters. The Data could be the old zones that existed before they were switched and changed by one tamriel zones. That might still be in the game data but no longer in use aka the carbon copys of various assets and other data Then maybe old data that has been in since alpha maybe like stuff that was ever added into the game to begin with but maybe not removed either. A lot of stuff like that so that should help reduce the file size and maybe improve performance downside of that is everyone will have to reinstall the game once they do update 25. A lot of i that would be voice over data as well too. Likely related to how the game use to work with each faction having their own unique vet zones. So that data too will likely be removed and thus removing a lot of gbs since voice work takes up a lot of space as well.

I think this is the main reason why they have been doing less and less because they know they have to not overdo it on data. Since the game might be over 100gbs if they were to flesh out zones and add a lot of nocks and cranies along with zones underneath the maps.
So yeah once they remove a lot of the clout that is no longer needed the game can handle more areas then they are adding into each of the chapters. So as much as I would not have to reinstall the game. It makes sense the reason why they are doing that. Because well its an issue. Plus once the account storage in place the servers should see a lot less strain as well. So hopefully the efforts they are doing will actually work.

im torn on this - with finite development time, if i have to decide between a city that looks large and gives me the impression of a truly big city but 2/3 of the houses are not accessible or a city that just looks like a small town but i can enter every house - for immersion sake i probably would choose the first one...

Shouts might also be difficult to balance so I think it will be unlikely that we will see Shouts. Plus I think they will try to make those unique for the Dragonborn him/herself since that is their thing. The vestiges resurrecting at wayshrines and using skyshards to grow more powerful far more quickly then a normal person likely would without them. Is unique, While shouts are unique to the Dragonborn. So to keep them more unique I think they shouldn't give us playable shouts people can make do with the lessor Dragonknight Class that has dragon like abilities but does not call upon true draconic magic like the Dragons can and thus can't shout but can mimic their breaths and nature with the magicka the Akaviri dragonknights taught others to use.

    - More lore about the Snow Elves and the Ice Tribes.
    - More lore about Giant tribes and Rieklins, maybe interactions with them in another shape than just killing them. A Giant/Rieklin questgiver?
    - More Minotaur and Morihaus lore!
    - Maybe the Ayleid city of Heldon, if it's located in Skyrim? Would be interesting to know how the Ayleids interacted with the Snow Elves.
    - Some lore about Aumriel and Konahrik
    - Some lore about Lamae Beolfag, and Shrieking Winds
    - Some lore about the Ideal Masters. Maybe a trip back to the Soul Cairn?
    - Some lore about the Rhojiit and the Leimenids.
    - Some lore about the nine old totemic Gods from Atmora.
    - Some towns from Arena that were omitted from TES V. Also, the Old Fort with porphyry walls that was mentioned in the Pocket Guide. Maybe Snowline, and some places that were mentioned in the Dawnstar game (Frostheim, Ice Tribe Haven, ...) Some of the new Creation Club places could also be added. Maybe also add the Pale Pass?
    - Maybe differentiate more minor hold capitals from standard villages. This could be a great opportunity to give Morthal and Dawnstar a more unique look.
    - If I remember well, the Skyrim art book said Bethesda thought about including a large monolithic throne in Dragonsreach, but lacked time and ressource to do it. Revisiting it could be an opportunity to add this unique throne.
    - Shalidor galore! Maybe a visit to his Ice Fortress?
    - Winterhold in its full glory! (With a spellcrafting skill line?)
    - Direfrost II and Blessed Crucible II
    - Some lore about the Skyforge and the Lunar forge.
    - A Bard class or skill line.
    - Maybe, if done well, a Thu'um skill line? Wind-based magic.
    - Wintery houses! A house on Bleakrock. An "ice cave" house. A house in Blackreach.
    - New creatures. Chaurus, Shellbugs, Soulbugs, Udyrfryktes, Gehenoths, Fanged Gouti, Rays, Floaters, snow wolves able to use ice-based magic, frostbite spiders, snow hawks, Werebears, Dwarven Ballistae, ...
    - A Bristleback mount. Maybe a cow mount? And a Dire Draugulf?
    - New pets: Draugulf, rabbits (including Darkwater Rabbits and a magical golden rabbit like the Golden Jack), squirrels, foxes chaurus babies, Vale deers, Will-o-the-wisp, Whispering Spirits, Flying books, Frostbite spider.
    - New styles! Chaurus, sehlbug, ancient Nord, Reach, Snow Elves, Rieklin, Volkihar, Dragon Cult, Bards' College, Winterhold College, Companions, Aetherium, Ectoplasm, ...
    - Maybe insight on why Ayrenn needed that Staff of Magnus?
    - Surprises!

EDIT: Well, I can't read titles, so of course, it was a wish list and not an antiwishlist...

Honestly, not very keen on Skyrim. ESO's Nords are pretty one dimensional and I can't really see how the aspect of exploring the province of Skyrim in ESO can top the experience of TES V. Unless future previews convince me otherwise, it's likely that this will be the first ESO chapter I end up not getting.

I can understand that there will be a bit of TES V nostalgia (and the revisiting of some lore) but I'm really hoping that the new chapter doesn't revisit dragons as a central theme. The Year of the Dragon was enough.

One thing I’d love to see, get rid of classes!

Imagine if you could choose any three skill trees from any class and didn’t have a set three at character creation. That would be pretty damn cool.

Yes, streak, cloak and jabs on one character would be just peachy. Until you find out that everyone is running the same "class" with minor variations.

Anything to do with the Thu'um. We are not Dovahkiin, we have no business learning that.

Too much Elder Scrolls V nostalgia-jerking. Some is good, but it needs to stand on its own merits.

Dragons. We done them, lets get something else.

Missing map chunks. I know about Falkreath and I know we won't be getting all of Skyrim straight away, but lets not have a random strip of land just be inaccessible.

Hm, that is about all I can think of. I am actually quite excited and am expecting some really cool stuff.

Well you don't necessarily have to be dragonborn to he able to use the thu'um. You can train somewhat in the voice. But yeah I get your point. The new skyrim expansion should stay away from shouts really.

No we are more likely to get a reachman skill line or class and that is one I don't really relish being a thing.
