Bring Transmute Geodes to the Crown Store, ZOS

I'm not in favour of them adding more 'convenience' short-cuts to the CS, but I wish they could increase the in-game yield, because I'm always out of transmute crystals since I play with a lot of alts, and want them to have their own gear. I realize they have said they don't intend it to be the de facto way of gear aquisition, but for altoholics, especially in PvE, there's never such a thing as too many crystals (and yes, I do run my toons through tier 1--I did 12 in the last campaign, and I'm already out of crystals now and waiting for the next one )

however... i do believe that cyrodiil would be lots more stable if geodes were obtainable in the crown store because the cyrodiil population would be lots lots smaller and ZOS makes some side money to develop more content.

We don't want a smaller pop in Cyrodiil....

the idea is you will have less people in cyro who are squishy pve carebears (who dont want to be there anyway) and more people in cyro who genuinely want to pvp.

this will make cryo pop smaller, BUT think of how smoother it will run for everyone who plays there.

    or...
do the hardcore pvp’ers “need” to slaughter pve carebears to stroke their e-peen as opposed to going against someone who can actually fight back? 🤔

Hello my fellow players. I have come here to request a feature for the crown store that has been on my mind for sometime. Currently as a casual I am facing a very frustrating problem. The problem is transmute geodes. A few months ago when there was no faction lock for player versus player gathering geodes in a timely manner before the 30 day campaign ended was not a hard task. Fast forward after faction lock was implemented. Right now after you take a toon into a 30 day campaign in either CP or none-CP, you will be notified that ALL of your toons of your respective factions will be locked out of that campaign.

I believe is now time for you, the developers to consider adding transmute geodes to the store. Now, these are not pay to win. They will not give you unlimited power, infinite health, and god like defenses. These are purely items of convenience. For me I play builds that often require me to constantly change how my gear and it’s traits. By adding these items to the crown store you will be helping many players like myself in obtaining geodes much more accessible and will not require a lot of frustration and time consumption.

Thank you for taking the time to read this thread and I hope you have a great day. I look forward to hearing from all of you in the comments.

or they could just make them avaidible in pve as well, instead of turning it into a pay for thing. we're not all so dam rich we can throw money at it ocnstantly

I'd bet that's exactly the kind of player that people want in Cyrodil.

My vote would be to balance out how transmute stones are obtained. Sounds like they are much less obtainable, unnecessarily, on the PvE side. Also, there should be no cap on storing them in your Inventory, IMO. Just another way ZOS greedily drives up the storage requirement to keep people from dropping ESO+. I’m also not in favor of driving things to the Crown Store, but I do agree with OP that this is a problem that should be fixed and which could easily be done.

While I don't see it as any more p2w than shards, skill lines, horse training, bag/bank expansions or crafting shortcuts I don't like it. Honestly though they might as well since everything else is for sale but that's kind of the problem here.

I fully agree with the OP.

I was thinking and talking same thing since 2 weeks with my in-game mates. But kept me from creating a topic TBH to avoid possible overreactions from anti-p2w 'ers. Those attacking/rejecting everything without mostly having a solid reason behind. I don't have time due to intensive real-life programs, family, kids & school, etc. and struggling to have enough crystals to complete my barely farmed builds. So yes, I'd love it either discounting piece price to 15-20 crystals, 50 is way too f...ing high (each dungeon 30 mins; rewards 2 crystals) and trials to non-popular destinations are rare in Crag pugs.

I'm working 3 weeks just to transmute 2 or barely 3 stupid pieces, becoming pledge-slave without doing anything else in my spare time to play this game.

Login -> LFG 4/6 keys!! -> queue -> 15-20 mins -> complete 1 dungeon -> if lucky same team goes to 2nd dungeon -> then logout ... because already 1.5-2 hours done. I can't play 4-8 hours daily. My family & kids need me too after work.

Sorry sometimea you actually have to play the game
Yeah, this is the type of reaction I've mentioned above. We have paid same money to this game, and I've paid probably more (I've bought 21k crowns over 3-4 times to make quick money due to same "time" problems and ZOS is equally responsible to satisfy us; Not "YOU" only just because you have time to grind more than others. Not everyone is student or home-office coders, or deejays lol, we have a fully-scaled life out there.

And no, it's nothing personal with you. I just used your reply as generic-type.

So you're saying that ZOS' implementation of transmutation is badly designed and inconvenient, but you'd be OK with it if only they'd let you pay to remove that inconvenience? I'm sorry, you and people like you are destroying games. You are validating this entire add-inconvenience-then-pay-to-remove-it logic that is plaguing games, not only mobile games or MMOs, but even single player games now. You are ensuring that every game in the future will be a grind unless you pay through the nose to get at the actually fun bits.

In what world is selling the solution better than designing an actually convenient mechanic? For crying out loud, I simply can't wrap my head around this.

Well then brotha maybe a MMORPG is not for you if you can not spend the time. It's the MMO model dude grind grind grind. There is a reason they fill you with fetch quests and all sorts, to keep you playing. Always of the search for the new upgrade. And tbh if all you do is quest and run dungeons it really does not matter what trait your gear is

    1) maybe a MMORPG is not for you > I think you already know what I'll say against this, but I take it neutral.
    2) to keep you playing > I do, but there must be a line, not 3-6-10 hours. It become a semi-life then, not game.
    3) it really does not matter what trait your gear is > yep, I do vTrials too (including vDLCs), and reason of trait-adjustment is to do it better naturally. Why else should I bother myself to improve my meta-builds? to kill spiders only? ;)

No offense mate, I'm just saying it's way too expensive (1 pc = 50 crystals) & PvE side isn't abundant enough. It's not necessarily pushing "put it on Crown Store". Perhaps per dungeon is better give out 4 instead of 2.

I play 2-4 hours a day because of the same reasons. Yet, I'm drowning in transmutation stones.

PVP on 4 characters for one or two times per month until you reach tier 1 in the campaign (should take about 2 hours). Wait 30 days and presto... 200 stones. And enough time to do whatever else you want to do in the game left.

Cyrodiil would have more people - more PVPers - if ZOS fixed performance.

Cyrodiil drawing PVEers for a couple hours to get Tier 1 rewards is basically the equivalent of PVEers playing long enough to get Alliance Skill Ranks for Vigor or Barrier. Its always happened. It's just not going to help the core of Cyrodiil's low pop problem. The blame for that and the responsibility for the solution lie squarely at ZOS's feet.
