Well I heard they had people exploiting it so they have to do something I guess. Just type /stuck whenever you want and taadah!
Does /stuck cause your armor to depreciate? I when to an instance for a personal quest last night. The quest was to follow Cadwell so that he can disable those steam doors. For some resaon, he never move and what ever I do (logout login again, reloadui...you name it). So my last option is /stuck. I die and ran back to the instance and all of a sudden it works. After I finish the quest, I check my repair bill (72 gold for mostly level 24 gears) and found that my armor hardly broken so I was wondering if /stuck really cause that much damage to your gear.
It's not like it costs that much money to repair gear. When I was in a grind group I racked up a 3k repair bill because EVERYTHING was broken, but by that level range I already had 80k+ gold.

The amount of the repair bill is not the only problem. Having a developer code the game to deliberately kill a character just to move it when stuck or falling through the world (due to a bug) is annoying and is too heavy handed. Its not like /stuck imbalances the game or harms other players.
Personally, I have not fallen through the world once but I've seen my wife do it a lot and our highest level characters are only LV 8 so both of us stay broke.

/stuck provides a free teleport.
It's not hard to see how that would be detrimental to the game if not penalized.
Traveling is affected, the value of mounts decreases, players would miss quests because they're teleporting more than exploring, PvP would suffer because people would just disappear whenever they get attacked or see an attack coming, etc etc.

/stuck was originally intended to fix issues of getting stuck in the landscape, like between some rocks on the side of a cliff. Definitely useful for getting out of the falling through the world bug, but not its original intended use.kirnmalidus wrote: »Casanovious wrote: »The game should be able to detect when you are falling through the world - even if it only checks after you use the /stuck command.
If this was the case, don't you think you wouldn't need the /stuck command in the first place?

Lucky person, you.If you're literally falling through the world so often that you have to spend time farming gold just to pay for the resulting armor repairs... maybe you should stop doing whatever is making you fall so often.
Months of PTS, beta and now two weeks of live and I've fallen through the map maybe 4 or 5 times total?
