Surprised that it went base over apex? No.
The speed with which it all went wrong was unprecedented though, before it started I'd been over-optimistic and was betting on a few more hours before group finder borked.
Ok, this is off topic and irrelevant....but it's Bjorked. The term comes from a botched supreme court justice nomination that went wildly off course. It's a mans name, not just a term that's worked its way into our lexicon.
To add to this wildly off topic reply with my own wildly off topic reply.
His name was Robert Bork and it is indeed borked.

But....but....but....they just released Part 1 of their performance improvements meant to correct the day 1 broken lfg feature....Are you perhaps suggesting....that ZOS is incompetent? Say it ain't so!

And the developers aren't money grubbing assbags
we will not hold another in-game event that requires the Activity Finder until we are 100% confident that the tool can support it. Stay tuned for details on that.

I don't think they lie, but given the continued performance issues, and absolute predictability of the current fiasco, you'd think someone in upper management would seriously question competence. This is just getting silly. If I were responsible for the ongoing development I would be hiding in a closet right now.
I am not surprised. Remember, after their first "fix" of the GF we informed Zos countless time that the GF was still not fixed. Then Rich stated last December that they had thought it was fixed which means they outright ignored our threads or to all intents and purposes that statement was not very true.
Considering Rich clearly stated.we will not hold another in-game event that requires the Activity Finder until we are 100% confident that the tool can support it. Stay tuned for details on that.
Clearly they failed to hold up to that statement. I would hope Rich or Matt will step up to the plate and maybe and own this while giving us an actual road map to fixing this issue once and for all. Maybe they need to set the bar a little lower than an absolute statement this time.
For those who want to read Rich's statement from last December I will link it below.

lolz....thank you for the correction. ...but still, technically, should it be Borked?...since it is a mans name it should be capitalized, right?
