Going by the last event they decided to cancel because of issues with the LFG tool, I doubt it. Get ready to do dumb Thieves Guild/Dark Brotherhood dailies for 3 days for the elusive event tickets.

Oh God no, no TG DB event please those are the worst. Don't give them bad ideas. They can bring the CWC event

Now you know how every PvP player felt when MYM was cancelled.

I do hope it will be rescheduled. I am looking forward to getting my snow Indrik and was hoping to fund my expensive furnishing hobby selling motif drops. While I am disappointed that it was cancelled before I could take part, it was clearly the right decision given what was happening on PC EU severs. I really hope servers are fixed/upgraded/expanded/whatever soon!!!

disappointed. But it was that or the game going down im glad you chose to do it but how are people going to get the berries and things they were looking forward to? I had 10 tickets going in and got one before this happened but many others didn't.

Through the grace of Vivec, I was able to successfully log in to the EU server (took a long time), load my main character (took even longer), travel to FG1, and join up with a random player at the door who was looking for someone else to run it with. We cleared it-- really, he cleared it by himself with me providing the MOBs and bosses with occasional distraction-- and I managed to buy my second berry.

But it really sucks that everyone always has such a hard time even getting onto the EU server, and that the event is having to be canceled after less than half a day. As I was racing to the Impresario to buy my second berry, I was tempted to respond to some of the players who were looking to fill out a group and run a dungeon, but felt that since I'd managed to run one already, it was better to let others who hadn't run one yet group up instead of me taking a spot that someone else really needed.

Let's all hope that a replacement event can be lined up, or perhaps that the third event can be extended, or maybe change the third event from 2 tickets per day to 3 tickets per day, etc.

    Servers are the problem

Oh it's the servers? What part of their servers is failing exactly? Have you been able to replicate this issue yourself with the same server setup as them? And what is the fix for it? Will this fix requires all servers to be restarted, or just a single server?

omg enough about MYM already!!! It hugely sucked they cancelled it, and im not hardcore pvp. Still I love it!

What i don't love is PVP and PVE people fighting over how bad things suck when its neither of our faults. Remember the true enemy.

Yeah, that helps...what about people who rely on the groupfinder like me? Not everyone is socially capable to use the zonechat, and 99% cant use the groupfinder again. Like last year...

I'm at work at the moment and people are huurrying to set up groups before the event is taken offline. I understand you can't cater to everyone but those that have recieved Opal motifs are trying to post them for ridiculous prices already.

I vote for the event where all we have to do is call up the anniversary cake and eat it. Quickest, surest way to get tickets.

It sucks that they have to turn off the event. What I don't understand is that there was plenty of complaints before the event saying how last year the event had trouble, so you would think they would have expected this or tried to fix something before hand?

I have no idea what they will do to give us our tickets and page styles though. I hope they don't decide to just give out a berry since I bought the second one today... I would be pretty unhappy with that. Plus missing out on the undaunted boxes. I would rather them just let you get stuff from delve bosses if that helps the situation.

For the person that suggested giving more tickets during next event I don't really like the idea because next event is the dragonhold event which according the the event details it requires both Elsweyer chps to participate. Unlike this event where you just have to run a dungeon.

I really don't understand how so many people have problems with this game. I've played since beta and i have rarely ever had issues logging in, getting into queue, playing events, etc.. The forums are full of people that seem to just complain nonstop until something like this happens and the entire event gets shut down.

If you’re an EU player, you’re a very fortunate outlier.

Because people who don't work in IT complain when IT related issues happen.

Actually, it is customers that complain when IT-related issues happen. They may or may not be in IT.

After complaining, sometimes customers choose to change vendors. Sometimes they change vendors at great cost and risk because they are unsatisfied with the inability to provide contracted services.

In the business world, there are service-level agreements. If a vendor fails to meet the requirements of the SLA, they may have to return substantial amounts of money to their customer.

In gaming, players don't really have much leverage. All we can really do is complain or walk. Naturally, just walking is difficult in the age of games as a service where players invest a lot of time on characters and advancement. The stickiness of such games, like sticky services in tech, make it more likely that customers will suffer through poor service. Sometimes a service provider might neglect investment in their service and end up with such a large tech debt that the service has a hard time competing with new competitors, becomes unstable, and has a long path toward making up for the neglect.

I have no idea what the situation is with ESO as an outsider. I find it silly when people talk like fixes are easy. But that doesn't mean that there hasn't been neglect. That doesn't mean that they haven't been pushing out quick fixes instead of addressing fundamental issues with the software. It seems they have been focusing on addressing their tech debt as of late, but, as is common in such cases, players are left to hope that there is a light at the end of the tunnel with no assurances and suffer through the current state of the service in the meantime.

I say all this as someone who hasn't had many problems with the game since I'm mostly a narrative person (who is still enjoying the storytelling) and I haven't been that active over the last few month apart from participating in events.

I've been able to log in and play on NA PC every single day since buying the game, and on EU PC every single day since the Summerset event where we got the free villa.

But I've definitely had problems from the very beginning with lag, DC, make sure you've got a valid internet connection, already logged in, endless loading screens that I had to quit out of, etc.

I will say this-- after my W10 PC died and I had to start playing on MacBook Air, I generally had fewer problems.

And now that I have a new W10 PC that's better than my old one was, I seem to be having even fewer problems.

So I feel like part of my problems before might have been due to the PC I was playing on-- perhaps especially the fact that the hard drive was just about completely out of free space-- although it's definitely more than just the end users' equipment and internet connection that's the problem.

To be honest, I sometimes wonder if part of the problem some people have might be caused by all the add-ons they use?

But whatever is going on, it's too widespread and too server-specific to be the fault of the players.

Despite all of the problems I personally have had, and all the problems worse than mine that others have had, I'm determined to stay positive, because I've been loving this game ever since I bought it a few years ago.

TLDR..... ZoS’s servers, coding, testers, dev team, and management should all be reassigned or let go. Keep the marketing and crown store team tho, they’re “killing it!”

What's the point of continuous event(s) anyway? We barely just got off from extended Witches festival!! I mean, really, it ended just few days ago!

AFAIK, events should be something special if not localized (in case of yearly DLC celebration events). So, the plan was to go from Undaunted to CWC and then New life festival... ? Kind of too hectic and rushed even if everything worked.

Because people who don't work in IT complain when IT related issues happen.

Can I not complain about my car repeatedly breaking down due to similar issues, if I don't work in the car industry?
Can I not complain about the food I ordered being bad, if I'm not a chef?
Can I not complain about water leaking from the ceiling, two days after someone came to fix it, if I'm not a plumber?
Can I not complain about public transport not working or not being on schedule, if I don't work for a public transit provider?

I don't have to work in a specific industry to notice that something does not work as it should, and if I have paid for that something, I'm going to complain about it - even if I might not know the exact details of why it does not work, or how to fix it.

And yes, it's the servers, otherwise there wouldn't still be a stickied post and a dedicated post about exactly these issues.

They did; that's why this year Dungeon Finder was not required. You could simply go solo the first dungeon of the day and get your box.
In addition the big boxes are only available once per account instead of all of them per character. You can still get good stuff via the little purple boxes but not as good as the big ones.

LMAO. Last time ZOS held this event they had issues with the activity finder. So in a nut shell nothing changed. I knew there was going to be problems so I did not even waste my time participating with the Undaunted Event this year. Looks like I made the right decision.
