Just remove the 100/200 capacity altogether. I'm swimming in geodes of all sizes and shapes.

Why is it capped at 200? That’s not even enough for a full 5 piece set.

A lot of players don’t know why the cap exists. A lot more players like to “conveniently forget” why the cap exists.
The transmute cap exists so that transmute stones aren’t a substitute for players running content to get the gear they need.
Without a cap, players can simply buy a complete set of gear at a guild store (all 12 slots including jewelry) and then transmute traits to the desired build needs. No running any content to get gear needed.
Players can still do the above if they have a sufficient amount of geodes banked. But, those geodes come at a price for players ... because they are taking up inventory slots.
Having too many geodes usually means you don’t have any use for transmute stones ... where the excess amount of stones should be destroyed to relieve pressure on inventory.
BGS is slow. Rewards of the worthy and the daily rewards is once a day dude and 4 most of the time. 25 once in a blue moon. 200 is 4 transmutes stam dw takes up 2 instantly and idk how many times its shifted between nirn + either precise/sharpened for different classes recently. Campaigns are alliance locked ... they brought 1 unlocked now this week to console but it's dead.

Again, no.
Get 4 characters into Cyrodiil and get them up to tier 1 rewards (25000 AP - which isn't much). When the campaign ends you have your 200 Transmute Stones. Need more? Roll out more chars. 8 means 400 transmute crystals.
Do you really need to change everything every time a new patch is released to be in line with with the so called META build? No, you don't. So, your arguments aren't strong as you think they are: you lose some dps with all the nerfs? Yes you do, but it's insignificant when you take a look at the overall.
FYI: I don't change gear since Murkmire went live and until now I lost only a few k in dps without changing any gear pieces.
In this game, the major factor that determines a good dps is just related to how consistent you are at parsing (LA weaving between skills). Nothing else.

Means of getting those Crystals are pretty scarce, moreso if you're not inclined or able to do some content.
