You should be able to make Transmute Glyphs in the enchanter station.
75 Transmutes + 25 Rekuta = 1 Transmute Glyph (Transmutes any item) Can be stacked, and sold.

Have you considered...
A. That getting you to spend time grinding for new gear/transmutes is part of why ZOS changes the meta periodically?
B. Not chasing the meta?
Its working as intended.
ZOS never intended for transmute crystals to be the primary way of obtaining armor/weapons in the trait you desire.
Slippery slope. Next thing you know they add vMA weapons as a "time saver", since at that hypothetical point you can already buy the right trait anyway.

It's only 50 at the minute to change an item, without the 50% overload, and the 25 rekutas - Seems like an odd and pricey glyph.
When you say farm, getting 2 for a dungeon run when you need 50 is like farming during the famine lol. 5 for a vma complete that is 5 hours of constant 30 minute runs. I get mmos have a certain aspect of grinding but mmos shouldn't be trying to figure out identity 5 years in changing stuff more than I change my underwear.

But reaching Tier 1 in a new campaign with each char usually takes less than 1 hour.
Just wait until your own alliance is not completely outnumbered, then enter the campaign, and follow a zerg. After conquering 2 keeps and some of the resources (farms/mills) you have 28k action points and tier 1, so you will get the 50 transmutation crystal reward.
So I personally don't see the need to purchase them.
I however understand the wish if people can't use all characters because of faction lock, I added 3 afterwards to be able to get enough crystals for my main characters.

I will break it down: PvE if you're not in a hurry, PvP if you are in a hurry - BG is the fastest way to accumulate them. But if you aren't in a hurry, check when the 30 day campaigns end. Get 4 characters into Cyrodiil and get them up to tier 1 rewards (25000 AP). When the campaign ends you have your 200 Transmute Stones.

A. ammm no it is not, they got a new combat dev team this year who are gone doing an "audit" changing putting everything on its head. If your trying to tell me scalebreaker DOT meta was intentional your delusional
B. Sorry I like to run PVE end game. Before you say "well that is your own decision" go back to last year the changes weren't as ridiculous or big every 3 months so I thought the crystals were ideal then
So any QoL change isn't intended? right dude
This requires a fairly active pvp server to join a zerg + like you said you having all alts in the same alliance. (now it doesn't matter because they brought in unlocked again, but its dead on ps4 eu so far)
