Stamina Templar identity

Stamplar dps and templar tank need some serious adjustments. Stamplar needs the same treatment that stamsorc got in terms of identity and stamina morphs of abilities. Stamina Templar is still stuck using blazing spear to proc the burning light passive because there are no other consistent stamina dots in aedric spear skill line. Templar tank is still stuck using breath of life(a mag/spell damage based heal) while all other tanks have self heals based on max health or missing health.
It seems like every patch templar gets left behind and stuck in the past with the only viable builds being Templar healer and magplar dps.
It's time for Templar to get some support for stamina based builds.

It would be nice for my tank to get an better self heal that i can use more then once or twice if not to close together and as an magplar i wouldn't mind giving up some snares to give my stam counterpart an reasonable heal or even 1 of my own heals as i have lots to choose from on both

They need to change that one channeled heal skill that nobody uses into something useful. It's just bad as is. Could easily replace it with something else and nobody would be sad.

umm, that skill is no longer canceled, hasnt been for almost 2 years-

Healing Ritual: This ability and its morphs no longer have a cast time; they are now instant cast abilities that heal for the same amount. Their costs have been increased to 7290 Magicka from 3780 Magicka.

also, have you tried to use Accelerating Drain on your tankplar? heals for 15% of your health every .7 seconds, up to 60%-

    https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Drain_Essence
Consume an enemy's life force, dealing 3651 Magic Damage and restoring 15% of your missing Health every 0.7 seconds for 3 seconds. When you activate the drain, the enemy is stunned for 3 seconds. When the drain ends you gain Minor Expedition, increasing your Movement Speed by 10% for [17 / 18 / 19 / 20] seconds.

yes, it is a channeled skill but you get 30% of your health in under 1 second, seems good to me.

Either way, it's been so long since I have looked at that skill and it's still just as bad with a cost that high

Not all tankplars are based around magic and why would an tank debuff themselves with vampire less health regeneration more damage to 1 of the biggest element used in game while ALSO moving away from class identity
Ive been in VBrF with an vampire tank he surely didn't like to plug the ground mechanic that the tanks to stand in

Yeah I suppose that could be true. Stupid high cost though. I could see it in an organized group but I mainly solo or bg

Vampire drain is ok but in situations where you need healing immediately or are taking a lot of damage and need to block it sucks. Not blocking means you are taking 50% more damage while also being low on health. They need a strong burst or at least insta cast heal

Yes they do need a change. Burning light can proc once every .5 seconds so you want a damage over time ability always running to proc burning light for you if you care about maximum uptime. When you dps you dont just sit there and spam biting jabs constantly. The second you stop using an aedric spear ability to do damage your potential to proc burning light stops completely.

Stam sorc is currently one of the highest parsing dps for the new patch. So yes stam sorc is ok. Also sorc passives are overall just better than templar ones.

Stamplar has always been an underachiever which, ironically, lead to a huge amount of build diversity available for the class.

The specialization is fine, it could use a bit more love in Dawn's Wrath skill tree AND Restoring Light passives, but other than that the class is reasonably strong as is.

The two biggest things i want are a stamina based dot in aedric spear so stamplar doesnt need to use blazing spear or jabs to proc burning light. And i want Templar tank to have a health based heal like every other class does. Templar has so many healing abilities but none of them scale well with stamina or health.
Magicka templar healers and dps are in a really good spot.

I proposed a few weeks back to change hasty prayer to one called warriors prayer where it gave us a heal based on our health plus provided the group with minor force or minor courage something that boosts damage to make Templar’s more viable for raids

Also lowering the costs to 4321 and removing the expediation buff moving it to another ability

Neverwinter tanks had a skill called Into-the-Fray which was actually really conceptually neat and yours looks a lot like that.

Temp tanks would absolutely love it.

That is absolutely unacceptable. Are you talking about sun shield/morphs??? You do realize every class has access to bone surge which is a stronger shield and offers a synergy for the group that places a damage shield on others nearby to protect them as well.. What does sun shield do again??
