Should vet dungeon bosses drop plunder?

Well trial bosses drop plunder and I think that maybe it’s time that vet dungeons did as well. I think maybe trial bosses plunder value should double and the vet dungeon bosses should drop the current value of plunder.

As it is dungeons offer very little in the way of rewards for repeating them day after day. Sure you get keys but even after a while keys become redundant after a week and the new key system virtually guarantees you get the monster set you want. And since the golden have its monster sets as well it’s not hard to get them anymore.

So why should we continue to farm these dungeons? Not for the gear as it doesn’t take long to farm the gear your looking for. I think plunder would be a great reward to players. And it would be a nice easy way for players to show appreciation to the people they run with. Say a guildy needs help with a dungeon. You volunteer. You get through the dungeon and your guildy gets the gear they were looking for. This could reward your friend for helping you out and even more so you could even trade your plunder to them as a sign of appreciation if you so chose further giving incentive for people to help each other out

At least without a serious value overhaul, dungeon plunder would be hilariously broken. There's some where you could knock that puppy out so fast, it'd really mess with the economy.

I do agree they would either have to lower the value for dungeon bosses maybe 500 gold per plunder or maybe limit it to one dungeons plunder as a daily reward.

Not a whiney thread at all. It’s simply added an idea for a bit more incentive to run dungeons. I have all the sets and there isn’t really any real reason to run them seeing as the gear is bound and you can’t sell it so I get nothing of worth from them anymore

You get monster sets from vet dungeons and motifs from vet dlc ones. Some of the motifs sell for 100k+. That's enough plunder already.

I don't really see the point.
If you need the monster set, farm the dungeon. If you need the keys farm the dungeon. If you want to help guildies, help them.
If none of the above applies, stop playing the dungeons.
I can only speak for myself of course, but the addition of an extra 5000g per CoA2 run doesn't convince me to keep farming it. That's not even the equivalent of one stack of crafting dailies.
And if the dam breaks open many years too soon
And if there is no room upon the hill
And if your head explodes with dark forebodings too
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

Okay, throw a plunder into your daily random mail? Yeah, I could get on board with that. Even at the current 1k rate.

Throw some plunder in for finishing the final boss on hard mode. Obviously only a very small amount for the base game dungeons, and a lot more for the DLC dungeons. Sometimes just one extra key isn’t worth the trouble.

Or add it to the pledge payouts for hard mode. That'd work too.

Would rather have weapon/armor/jewelry drop with each boss, instead of weapons and jewelry just dropping on the last boss or unique pieces dropping on some bosses if your lucky.

If I had a higher chance at getting the set weapon or jewelry piece I am after I would more likely run the dungeons on Vet, a little more gold is not going to make me bother.

Weapons and jewelry can drop from chests in the dungeon. Does kinda require your group actually paying attention to their surroundings, and looking for them, but that is an option.

    Maybe 500-100 for Maj.
    1500-2000 for Glirion
    5000 for Urgarlag.

    Or something like that.

I was thinking 1k for Maj and Gil. Urgarlag could certainly justify more.

I have Glirion slightly more as his dungeons are slightly harder. I don’t think you should get the same amount for doing FG 1 as opposed to COA 2.

5000 is the highest I’d go for Urgarlag.

Good idea. I think I like it more for the Random Daily dungeons or for the Daily Undaunted tasks rather than for any dungeon, but overall I think it is a good idea. The current reward system is meh at best. Replacing the Mercenary Style item you get from dailies with a plunder would be a good start.

I wouldn't get extremely upset if something like this were implemented but I do think what we have is reward enough: Monster Helms, Keys, gold/coin drops from enemies, motifs, style pages (in a specific dungeon), collectibles from certain monsters that sell for gold and go towards achievements, achievements in general, and equipment that can be broken down for mats (or researched) on any character if the pieces are not needed.

Helping a friend with a run should be its own reward.

Maybe I was the only one, but I was actually a bit disappointed when the majority of my drops from hunting dragons were treasures and dragon pellets. I want motifs and furniture and recipes and stuff like that.

Dungeons are run enough by so many people that I fear this type of gold influx could mess up the economy.
My #1 wish for ESO Today: Decouple achievements from character progress and tracking.

When you run Vet Trials, you will get plunder (which is basically just a trophy item that sells for 1k gold) from each boss fight. I think from running vHRC you get like 12 or so plunder.

Edit: In my mind, the point of plunder is to just off-set some of the costs you incur while running vet trials (good food, pots, repair costs, etc...).

You may not be able to sell the gear you earn, but you can decon it and then sell the mats

    OK, thanks.

So kind of like the trophy thing that drops from a dragon and worth the same. I can't see it making a great deal of difference then really, 1k gold is not a lot in this game, even x 12.

Overall, I think the ornate gear that drops is enough to cover gear repair expenses plus a little extra, but an extra 1k gold would be nice. I mean, the equivalent drops from dragons in Elsweyr, so...

You should run vet trials instead of dungeons.

I actually like this idea, if you got a few thousand extra gold for running vet dungeons I’m sure there would be more people running vet dungeons.
