This change to mounts is just stupid

In a patch full of bad decisions, I just want to highlight this gem.

"Like on-foot sprint, mounts will now stop sprinting when their Stamina is fully drained. However, we’ve decreased the Stamina cost of mounted sprint and greatly increased both base Stamina and base Recovery for mounts."

I am just tired of all of this. Just really tired.

    Use the War Mount in the CP Tree.
    FYI - There is no such thing as 'night capping' in a world wide MMO.
    FYI - There was no paid Beta. When they launched the game the Beta was over, even if you don't think it was.
    FYI - It's B2P not F2P. There is a difference.
    FYI - It doesn't take any player skill to mash keys or buttons in this game. The ones that stay alive longer have the better internet connection and speed.
    FYI - The game is not broken, it still works. It just has 'bugs' that need to be fixed.
    Balance is a "Bad" thing.

    Example: There were hundreds of Jedi and only two Sith in Star Wars. The Jedi wanted, "Balance in the Force" and they got it. Now there are only two Jedi and two Sith.

    This change is absurd. I don't do a lot of PVP in Cyrodiil, but this will make travel in that zone even more aggravating than it already is.

    On what occasion do you actually run out of 60/60 stamina though?

    It takes me a full third of the Cyrodiil map (with rapids) to run out of stamina at full 60 stamina. That’s more than enough to get anywhere you need to go.

    Best to test this on PTS yourself ... before posting more whines and jumping to conclusions.

    Unless of course you have to goto a 1/2 of the map at which point it is not enough.

    Some people play characters that don't have 60 speed + stamina yet?
    Under-50s Cyrodiil will be a lot more painful.

    When you take damage your mount’s stamina is drained. When it is 0 you fall off your mount.

    On what occasion do you actually run out of 60/60?

    1. When a character isn’t yet 6 months old and left stamina til last because inventory and speed were (until now) a priority. Necromancers aren’t 6 months old yet.
    2. When you are chasing your guild mates through a map for guild night and you aggro random wolves, zombies, archers etc
    3. When someone fails a snipe on your mount in Cyrodiil because you have enough resists to keep running but now you fall off your horse because you were sprinting on it using it’s stamina.

    Yup now if you like alts you will need to buy those mount upgrades from the crown store

    No. Stamina is what upgrades your mounts armor. When you take damage while mounted the stamina decreases.

    Absolutely no need for this change—more and more I’m getting the impression that someone at ZOS just wants to make our lives miserable in almost every possible way.

    I’m not usually negative on this game, but seriously...this entire year has been one slap in the face after another.

    Not really the point. Getting TO 60 speed, 60 stamina, 60 capacity is the issue. For years people have not had to worry about wasting all that time increasing stamina and could focus on speed, then capacity.

    Now they make stamina more important, so you get to waste 2 more months adding a dot per day.

    Its just simply a nuisance. Its busy work. Extra crap to do for no real good reason. Other games I have played, you get a mount - it comes at max speed from the get go. You can level it up, and that Adds powers to the mount. But you Never have an issue with it starting out Slow as a snail.

    heh heh, you got me. But for reals, I don't mind the change to the mechanic, though I get why people who've been using this for years would be upset.

    I always thought it would make more sense. Stamina decreases when we sprint, correct? Why wouldn't your mount get tired as well?

    Yeah. We were told it was "intended", which was basically a bug they were not planning to fix. Like animation canceling.

    Didn't they say something strange about that along the lines of "It has always been a bug but we didn't have the technology to fix it, so we didn't. Now we have the technology and so we're fixing it".

    Can't wait for the outrage once they eventually fix animation canceling.
    This Bosmer was tortured to death. There is nothing left to be done.
