Reason to Populate DLC zones

If the powers that be want us to populate dlc zones why not offer crafting daily boards in all dlc zones and have the possibility of receiving aetherial dust and aetheric cipher in dlc zones too? I would love to live in Murkmire if that province had the possibility of gaining either mentioned items. I’m sure others would say the same for other dlc zones as well or am I the only one that thinks this way? Comment here whether you agree or disagree, please.

Agreed. There is not much incentive to go back to DLC zones once you've completed the quests, etc.

I think the point was to only add them to places that everyone could farm, giving everyone an even shot at the drops.

It also adds to the rarity to only have them drop in base. I don't think (?) they drop in Craglorn, a good thing since we have crux there and Crag would be even more farmed than it currently is.

During DLC anniversaries, we have had mat doubledrops in Wrothgar, Hew's Bane, Gold Coast. Omitting dusts from the loot table means they can't doubledrop and flood the market. That said, they did add dusts and ciphers to Jubilee, so who knows...

Just some thinking points - none of which indicate my support one way or the other.

Mythic Aetherial Ambrosia was introduced in late 2016. At the time, there were only four "new" overland zones:
    1. Craglorn
    2. Wrothgar
    3. Hew's Bane
    4. Gold Coast

Each of these four zones had their own special material that could be found while harvesting. I have a sneaking suspicion that this is why, at the time, the dust was limited to the original base game zones. Starting with Clockwork City in Q4 2017, new zones no longer have special harvest materials.

I once wanted to live in the hollow city with my coldharbours estate, the city doesn't even have a jewelry crafting station, so I have to zone out and back in via two loading screens to do a daily which would've taken way less time in any other zone.

Thank you all for commenting. I know each dlc zone has its own benefits that the non dlc zones don’t have. This doesn’t change the wish of being able to live in such zones. Especially if the zone had writ boards. I wonder if they can give us writ boards for our homes? That would be another money maker to combine with the Mundas stones already in the crown store.

Well wrothgar drops the crafting material for ancient orc, I assume something similar is in the other two.

    Craglorn - Nirnhoned traits

For the others - When you harvest a node in those regions you have a chance of getting the ever so fantastic "Collect 10 pieces of garbage to create 1 larger piece of garbage" style trait items.

Still don't see nothing unique or special about a crafting material that would be so easy just to deconstruct a piece of the armor from the area to get so no doesn't work

You didn't ask if it was super special, or made you happy, you asked if there is anything unique to that particular zone. Caserite sand only drops in Wrothgar. It is unique to Wrothgar. It is garbage, but it is still unique garbage that only drops in one place.

They all drop matts required for crafting related motifs.\

Edit: Code's suggestion is pretty good regardless if you think it is special or not. It is logical.

We were talking about dust dropping and other high in items dropping only in common areas and not in DLCs as if DLC areas drop something specific that was highly usable which we all have obviously agreed on there really wasn't its garbage so my input was what was so specific for those zones that they couldn't put dust within the collections of the zone

So is this actually a thread about revisiting DLC zones or mat drops?
Because if it's just about revisiting zones, they are already talking about a new concept of long-term zone usage in the Dragonhold DLC.

Adding things within to give reason to return conversation about the Dust not being in the DLC areas and it being a rare item having them drop in more area's people would farm them areas hints bringing more people to area if they were dropped there but some fell the items wasn't added because already existing drops of area that relevantly are just trash not wanted so no reason to return

In MMOs when you finish leveling/questing/story in a zone, that's it... You have no reason to come back, unless its a capital/main/trading/crafting/PvP zone...

If it drops in all zones, but at the same rate, then everyone still has the same chance to farm said item, regardless of what DLC they own.

Won't happen. Already drops in zones that everyone has access to.

No. Rare items wouldn't be rare if they were available everywhere. Also, the reason why they only drop in the base game zones is so everyone who only buys the base game would have access to it.

Besides the DLC zones do get heavily populated during the special daily delve/WB events.

We literally just had a Wrothgar event not too long ago and earlier in the year, Murkmire WAS full of people running WBs for extra chances at the motifs from that zone.
