This game would truly be great if only it had a local solo play version sans online access.

Honestly though, 4 person split screen like the good old days and zero lag in the dungeons sounds kinda nice.

Eh, no. Yeah, I play "solo" 99.9% of my time in MMOs, but it's still an MMO. Large parts of it are designed & balanced around having many people around, even if you're not grouping with them. Making it 'solo and offline' would just end up with a mediocre game with bad balance.

Why you'd want that, instead of good single player games, I don't know. /shrug

Why no option for NO !

Because he only wants to get replies that agree with him, or that he can spin to say the replies agree with him.

Look at his other threads. Either he is actually looking for a single player game and doesn't understand why a *Massively Multiplayer Online* game is never going to be what he wants, or......He's bored and baiting/trolling.

    Go play skyrim

Played Skyrim to death. Even a single player version of this wouldnt be that.

Let's see....You start in a prison cart on your way to your execution.... You start in chains being dragged to your ritual sacrifice....You escape execution and prison because special destiny/play thing of the aedra/daedra....You escape from the daedric prison because special destiny/play thing of the daedra.... Yep. Looks totally different to me. /sarcasm

A single player version of this would be, taking out the multiplayer parts, exactly that.

Economically wise if they do it they will lose whales and other subbing customers, on the long run, which will become loss of cash, so you are suggesting them to try to kill their game with their own hands?

There are plenty of single player RPG titles out there if that’s what you want.

You can tell its a garbage poll when it does not even have an option to disagree.

OP only makes single-viewpoint polls. This one is actually far more nuanced than the other ones she’s made.

A poll with no option to disagree need not be a poll.

No, game is build around online, around online it should stay. Would only back this after eventual server shutdown.

You can play LITERALLY every other Elder Scrolls Game in that way - solo, offline, play.

So go play one of those.

This is not that game and they ain't gonna change it.

But if you want solo and offline, you're in the wrong place. =D

The correct answer is no, but you didn't provide an option for that. In some ways, I get the mindset of people that feel the way you do. When ESO first came out, I wasn't interested in an MMO at all, and I bemoaned the fact that it wasn't a new TES single-player game. About a year later, I felt more open to the concept, and decided to give it a try. I wound up absolutely loving it, and now have far more hours invested into it than I would have if it were a single-player game. This game is designed first and foremost as an MMO, and trying to make it anything other than that would ruin it. It's not a great single-player game, it wasn't designed as such. There will eventually be a TES VI released, and when that happens, you'll have your new TES single-player game. But ESO never was and never could be that, it's not what it was designed to be. So stop trying to ruin the game by insisting on making it something it's not and never could be.

If more areas like delves and interiors had Craglorn style instances where it's just you and not everyone on the server, that would be great. Maybe just limit delves and public dungeons to 4 or 12 people respectively.

Dropping the "online" you would simply have The Elder Scrolls.

You know, oblivion, skyrim, morrowind, etc?

One Elder Scrolls to rule them all
One Elder Scrolls to find them
One Elder Scrolls to bring them all
And in the darkness bind them

    Absolutely disagree

If anything overland content needs to be made much more difficult. Right now there’s no punishment at all for obviously stupid behavior.

Ignore combat cues? Stand in stupid? Never use abilities? Ignore gear upgrading? Don’t use any food or potions? Not to worry! Anything goes in overland and you will never have to be concerned about dying.

I know this is going far afield from what OP proposed, but it would be nice to have some sort of mobile app for doing auction/professions/mail/inventory stuff when your internet/power goes out or when traveling.
Really we do it without like, the musical instruments. This is the only musical: the mouth. And hopefully the brain attached to the mouth. Right? The brain, more important than the mouth, is the brain. The brain is much more important.

I agree because performance improves ridiculously when nobody is online. I log in directly after a patch and it's a ghost town and I have zero issues with fps/lag/desync.

If there was any a way to always be like that it seems to be offline.
