Exactly, imagine trying to duo as 2x magDKs. "I wanna ember" "NO I wanna ember" "no heals for you!". Seems like a moronic fix, all that guesswork. You're either examining the target for DoTs or wasting GCDs. Just tone the dots down 10-20%.
We didn't have these problems before they buffed the *** out of DoTs.
But it would potential force more class diversity and strategically it would pay to have smaller groups hitting more spots. But it doesn’t quite add up. Either this is all made up or the big picture hasn’t come into focus. It could be that a few changes sound good but the overall changes are going to be much less interesting.

This is exactly old burning embers problem reintroducing for everyone..
Now back again, for example Entropy mana restore proc only while dot lasts and only when hitting affected enemy; another morph heals only when dot lasts. So overwriting dots negating bonuses of both morphs. Unless they will change morphs effects to be independant from damage.
@Cinbri
this is only a problem if you Xv1 somebody. they are also going to change proc sets, no more overpowered overwhelming and auroran cheese. imagine, when they also change living dark i bet a lot of people will have to learn to play mhmm.

Big nerfs to zergplay if this is true.
They need to be careful with the DoT nerfs in PvE. They nerfed the *** out of all our other skills so that DoTs would become BiS. They may need to revert some of those previous nerfs.
Ok do they really need to nerf the initial damage of onslaught? Jesus Christ stam ultimate choices are going to be garbage. I hope it’s a minor nerf because DBoS is pretty lame rn and just not even worth using over Onslaught.

The build that was being shown was not the PTS build. Anyone who is saying otherwise is wrong and making things up. This build was taken from early August, so what people saw was already out of date. Any screenshots that are being circulated are mostly fake as many of the combat changes weren't even implemented into this build yet or weren't close to being finalized. Please take any information you see with a large grain of salt. The focus of the gameplay being shown at the event was on the zone of Southern Elsweyr and its content.
We are planning to post a high level summary of changes that are going into the upcoming PTS update, and will be posted within the next week or two.

Some of the comments seem legit, though the details are probably in a lot of flux.
I am reluctant after this disaster of a patch that removed all class identity and increased DoT wars to an ungodly level to go through all 16 of my characters and revise builds at this point.
I believe the part where ZoS may realize it is a mess right now but then ask myself why they didn't listen when they were getting this feedback while it was on PTS?
Furthermore, with all class identity stripped away in the Scalecaller patch that basically has so many asking why even have classes anymore, there is going to have to be some MAJOR class skill reworking to fix the destruction of the Scalecaller patch. If they do manage to fix this (I am not holding a lot of hope on it), it is going to mean all builds need to be reworked again.
If it is true about having a 5 sec GCD on Proc sets, the this is further going to upend the builds as they stand today. Furthermore, I hope this isn't implemented halfway - many sets, especially monsters sets, are going to need to be completely reworked if this is true. Kind of hard not to have two proc sets in DPS builds.
I have played MMOs for many years and I am used to constant class balance. I have never seen an MMO that basically upended all the gameplay in one patch like the Scalecaller patch did - basically wiping out years of effort in building your charaters. Furthermore, this is happening more now and it just gets frustrating to have to rebuild 16 characters over again with each patch every three months. Outside of maybe three characters right now, I don't even want to go through the effort because - with the supposed class identity fixes - all of this work is going to be thrown out the window when Dragonhold drops.
ZoS, do the class balance patch and then stick to small adjustments after that. Stop wiping out players' work in building their toons wholesale. It is frustrating, and people don't play a game to be frustrated.

They're not. I mean, some of the stuff like passive changes, I couldn't be sure, all I could say with absolute certainty is, I didn't see anything like that. Now we know, it's BS. Someone wanted attention.

2 videos, a 4 page thread, and several streamers talking about the changes. Not to mention the various discords of people losing their minds over said changes (can get screenshots of said meltdowns).

Whatever changes there are (if any) are likely to be changed by the time PTS is open, and definitely by the time Dragonhold hits live.
pls no forum riot over dragonhold preview screenshot
