Pax is a public event isnt it? They cant have an NDA for content shown there.

Both players spent resources to attack. The end result might be a good result in many ways but the means is a bad idea.

Hopefully it will only overwrite if the new one is stronger, because otherwise wtf people might spam DoTs to get theirs to stick.
Best idea though: go back in time and stop these ridiculous combat changes in the first place. 5 years and they start messing with balance and screw it up.

Didn't anyone make notes on new furnishings? Costumes? Houses? The good stuff!
Anyway this one assumes PTS can only be a week or so away - so we will see all then.

I saw a Khajiiti ruin along the northern border of the map. As I mentioned, it didn't have a map marker associated with it. I'm inclined to think it was quest related, but, it's possible it's a house, and the entrance was simply disabled for the demo.
Didn't really notice any new furnishings, though my significant other really wants that southern delve as a house. The place looks amazing.
I didn't really snoop around for costumes this time, though. Sorry, Santie.

Exactly, imagine trying to duo as 2x magDKs. "I wanna ember" "NO I wanna ember" "no heals for you!". Seems like a moronic fix, all that guesswork. You're either examining the target for DoTs or wasting GCDs. Just tone the dots down 10-20%.
We didn't have these problems before they buffed the *** out of DoTs.

Five second GCD on offensive proc sets? That should make the fringe players leave in droves. Lots of folks depend on stacking monster set + 2 damage sets for pressure.... they will find themselves at death recap a lot, or become bored to tears stacking defensive sets instead.

Why? Because suddenly they have to L2P like people who don't crutch on free damage that ignores cooldowns? Also lol imagine thinking that the only two styles of play are "crutch on proc sets" and "stack defensive sets." You are really making some 200 IQ posts there, chief.

That's the point. It's against ZOS's new vision to make people "L2P" or get out. Where are all those crown sales going to come from if the casuals are sent looking for an easier game? And thanks for assuming a 180 IQ is going to make a 200 IQ post, but it's not an every day occurrence.

lmao, they literally have the rest of the game to putz around in if they want to be casual. If they want to PvP they should absolutely at least pick up some basic knowledge of how the game works and not just roll in expecting to faceroll people who have been around longer than they have. This Participation Trophy Era BS is getting out of hand, honestly.

My buddy said they only had a maximum of 15 minutes to demo, imagine casuals being able to find their way out of the starting are of the demo within 15 minutes, much less bothering to look in-depth for any possible changes
Because that's what this event is, literal meetup for casual players.
(for the record, that post came from someone else, my buddy only got to play once and didn't even get to speak to the actual devs)

This is exactly old burning embers problem reintroducing for everyone..
Now back again, for example Entropy mana restore proc only while dot lasts and only when hitting affected enemy; another morph heals only when dot lasts. So overwriting dots negating bonuses of both morphs. Unless they will change morphs effects to be independant from damage.
starkerealm wrote: »Yeah, the "no photos," thing is legitimate. Not sure if anyone was actually directed out over it, though it's possible. You were allowed to take notes, but they didn't want photos.
I didn't notice any changes with the passives, but I was using a level 25 template, so I didn't spend a lot of time scrutinizing the options. Thing about these events is, you've got maybe 15 minutes to look at the new content, so you need to be efficient. At that point, most people, even experienced players who were in the press pool, didn't spend our time studying the skills looking for changes. Stuff worked roughly how we'd have expected.
So, with that in mind, Southern Elsweyr doesn't appear to fully connect to Northern. There seems to be a gap between them, so ZOS may choose to fill that in later with a third zone. (It's a little hard to judge, because the zone didn't appear on the Nirn map, just the wayshrines. So, I could be wrong about this.)
There's two main quest threads. One of them is for the zone itself. The other one triggers if you've completed both Elsweyr zones (not sure if the Scalebreaker quests are included or not), which concludes the Season of the Dragon.
The delve I ran through was a mix of a Khajiiti ruin, and a grotto, with luminescent plants of some variety lighting the place up.
I didn't see a new trial or arena, but I did run across a structure along the north edge of the map that didn't have a map marker associated with it, and could be tied to something else. I'm unsure. I doubt it's a new arena though, as BRP was playable at last year's event, and we probably would have been informed if something like that happened. If only to try to goad Bert and myself into making poor life decisions.
There's also the usual: Three new crafted sets, three new drop sets, two new delves, two new world bosses, and (I assume) six skyshards. I think I heard the crafted sets weren't fully implemented yet. Which would mean you'd see a named set without any bonuses, but I didn't find any. I did find some drop set pieces, but was advised that they were also not final versions.
So, short version? No, we don't have photos of the changes. Also, this thread's original post went live 90 minutes before the press event started. At that point, no one had seen anything.
