Title Screen Version Number.

So I was just wondering if the title screen's version number will be set to update after patches soon?
We're now running 1.03 but the title screen still informs people they're running 1.0.0.9 which can be a little confusing and has caused people in the past to question if their game is updated or that's why they can't connect to servers.

The number you see IS NOT the patch version (currently 1.0.3), but this number changes after every patch (actually, it's the part after 1.0.0.9 which changes). It has to be an internal version number for the client.

So don't worry, you must be fine, but in the future keep track of the title screen number, just to be sure you patched your game.

I was wandering too. I'm running on patched beta client and still have 1.0.0.968197 version of client.

Regardless of what the case may be, it still causes unnecessary confusion. When you tell players on the forums that you've just released version 1.0.3, but the game says it's version 1.0.9.567.434 (or whatever), people are bound to make topics asking why they haven't received the latest patch yet.

@niocwy fair enough, I has assumed that it was meant to match up with the game version numbers we were patching to (from my experience in other MMOS)
I mean personally I haven't had issues knowing when I patched but I know after the last patch there were a lot of people worrying their log in issues was based on their game version number (title screen) didn't read 1.0.2

@darkkterror_ESO Yeah I agree. And all I can to is reassure them (or not :| )

ZOS must already be aware of this since there has already been numerous threads when the previous patch aired.
