So now, that we have dozens of #nerfPlar threads, enormous salt mines and oceans of tears about how fun... I mean OP MagPlar is I think it's time to start predicting how hard will Zeni destroy the entire class.
Will it be just a slight adjustment to a couple of OP skills? Or will it be nerfing entire skill lines, passives and adding 2500 mag / 1800 stam cost to all the skills?
Also, how soon before Soul Trap and Entropy become worse than pre-Scalebreaker?

I can see them trying to give Templar’s purge capability to Necro’s to sell more Elsweyr chapters. The obvious cash grabs are getting more and more brazen with each big patch.
ummm, necro already has a great purge.
anyone who has played in the dot meta (or abused it) should know who can cleanse and who cannot
templar - cleanse
necro - cleanse
NB - suppresses dots
warden - cannot actually cleanse in practice - rekt
DK - rekt
sorc - rekt
though there is an expensive magicka purge, Wyrd Tree, and Curse Eater.
just gotta keep track

They were bad. I mean really really really bad at damage. Not just in PvP either.
ZoS has been working hard to balance the templars and to get them on par with the other classes.
I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Now I will say I’d rather the immobilize be point blank aoe... but that heal isn’t that strong from what I can see
So what is it that make that ability op...

People are too dumb to stop direct damage attacks for 6 seconds so they self immobilize themselves.
Heal and cleanse.

Umm what ? Do You even know how that ability works now @TequilaFire ?

Eclipse can be cleansed, Dark cannot as it is on the caster, not using direct damage attacks healing and cleansing other dots is still the way to go. It is automatic for me.

Hope templar nerf will be hard. It's no longer about justice, now it's about revenge!
In more serious note, they should buff other classes but we all know that it isn't ZoS way of balance. They will nerf them like they nerfed my poor NB boi

The question really is:
How bad will stamplar get screwed vs how literally unscathed magplar will be.

I like to think that somewhere, in an alternate timeline, EA owns the Elder Scrolls brand...

Not using direct damage on caster lol. So now to fight templar and not be completly controlled by him I need to stop using direct damage and apply DoTs only on him which basically gives him control over me since he can cleanse the DoTs. Basically now fighting magplar will penalize You for whatever type of dmg You'll use because You'll get rooted when using direct dmg and Your DoTs will be cleansed for less then it costs You to apply them. Templar already had passive 30% snare and now it got passive immobilize. Passive control is simply stupid. That is the reason why dk wings no longer reflect projectiles for example because against certain playstyles it enabled too much passive control.
