This Moongrave guide is useless @Alcast, it only explains the most obvious aspects of the fights and offers zero insight into the more troublesome aspects, like tanking Grundwulf and the Sanguine's Thirst.

BTW, You use the hemo blot to interrupt the Thirst being summoned.

My first (and so far only) times in those dungeons, I relied on two sets of written guides -- Alcast's and the Esoplanet ones.

The ESO planet one is very good.

What would you like to see added to the guide? I can do a second sweet and see if I can add some more information, I also added the Sangiin's Thirst info already. The Maarselok one was fine?

We haven't done vet Maarselok yet.

Basically what is missing from atleast the MF guide are the mechanics you have to deal with when out DPS'ing the game is not an option(ie. being normal human plebs).

In the Dro’Zakar fight, saying that
he also has an AoE attack phase similar to the first boss in vet Maw of Lorkhaj
is probably fine for people who know MoL by heart. Explaining the mechanic here even if it is the same would be more useful.

f.ex. Explaining that you have to kill his shield fast to avoid the his AoE dmg outpacing the groups healing.

    like tanking Grundwulf

@essi2 The two main "unusual" mechanics that the tank needs to be aware of when tanking Grundwulf are Drain Vitality and Elemental Fury; both mechanics are present in both the 4th and 5th boss encounters involving Grundwulf. They're described in detail in my HM guide, although neither mechanic is specific to HM. In my experience running this dungeon with Group Finder tanks is that the failure to deal with the DoT and confusion over the different heavy attack windups are leading causes of deaths for inexperienced tanks.
    code65536 wrote: »
    • Drain Vitality: Grundwulf will shout "Gaan!" (the first word of the "Drain Vitality" shout from Skyrim) which places a damage-over-time effect on the tank.
      • It is recommended that a tank slots Purge to dispel it.
      • Purging this DoT will cause Circulation damage to the other members of the group.
        • Circulation hits for only around 4-5K per player and is usually inconsequential.
        • Circulation can be blocked, dodged, or shielded, but this is usually not necessary.
      • This mechanic is not specific to Hard Mode or even to this boss fight, as it is present during the previous boss encounter.
    • Elemental Fury: Grundwulf will shout "Su!" (the first word of the "Elemental Fury" shout from Skyrim) which increases the speed of his heavy attacks. Tanks seeking to dodge the boss's heavy attacks need to be aware of this mechanic.
      • This effect lasts for 15 seconds.
      • Grundwulf's heavy attacks normally have a 2.5s windup and the final stroke of his heavy attack has his sword swinging upwards.
      • With Elemental Fury, his heavy attacks have a 1.4s windup and the final stroke of his heavy attack has his sword swinging downwards.
      • While empowered by Elemental Fury, Grundwulf's sword will be surrounded by a subtle, white misty aura.
      • This mechanic is not specific to Hard Mode or even to this boss fight, as it is present during the previous boss encounter.

@code65536 That's interesting to know. Elemental Fury I was unaware of, just thought my dodging was off.

The DoT I noticed, do you know if the cleansing from Cleansing Ritual and its morphs gets rid of the DoT?

Of course. I mentioned Purge because that's a non-class-specific skill, but anything that players would normally use to dispel negative effects can be used.

Even the exceptions have exceptions in ESO, so doesn't hurt to ask :)
