We do. Our QA team reviews this section regularly, and it's much more helpful and efficient if bug reports are posted there instead of general discussion.

I feel like there needs to be more of an incentive for people to go onto the PTS before new content is released, at the moment it just seems to be people who create content for YouTube, Twitch etc that use it. Maybe pay people a small fee to test the product before it's released to up the pressure the servers will come under to give a more realistic idea of performance.

I'm sure there is plenty of people out there who would be happy to sign up if they know they're going to get paid for it.

You could assign people to certain areas broken down into sub categories eg PVP, end-game PVE trials, PVE dungeons, and each class.

If possible, it should be tested on consoles too.
    Hope you read this too.
    Kind regards

It might be nice if there were some way they could indicate that issues have been seen or added to a backlog. Sometimes it seems like the whole section is a black hole where nothing is ever read.

That would fall into the category of communication, ZOS aren't very good at communicating.

I think the general forums need to be flooded with complaints about dots again.

Atleast attention was diverted from terrible combat changes to terrible performance.

We understand how frustrating it must be to get constantly just bad feedback, sorry for that Gina. But we just love that game, like you love the Community ;) We just want to see something happen, it's about time, and the last Merchant Incident just was enough. Sorry that you get always all the Frustration from us as Community.

A lot of people stopped testing because feedback is never acknowledged. Take the housing storage bug. It was reported over and over on PTS, still made it to live and, sure enough, the bug created a lot of problems that the team then had to deal with. That's not a "personal opinion" feedback or a "I hate change because of change" feedback. Legit bug that was never fixed in PTS cycle. That's one example. Why should people waste their time at that point?

Not to mention, it shouldn't fall to players to volunteer to be quality control for a AAA game. The PTS is nice but it should be a third or fourth line of testing after being created and tested in-house.

ZOS_GinaBruno then why do we only see that few bug fixed every patch if we compare to the megaton we're reporting in game and on forums ?

It's about time to do a full "bug fixes" patch. Enough is enough, the game is very unstable and your loosing your customer base because you spend more time adding new content than taking time to stabilize the game.

Are they? Are they losing customer base? Such basic arguments have been said over and over for past 3 years and they are literally thriving more and more ;)

And still, this is the thread that got an official response.

Meanwhile, in the bug reports section, crickets.
Except for some replies in apparently (for the user) random threads.

As others have said, it would be really helpful to have some form of regular acknowledgement that the bug reports forum is not just screaming into the eternal void. ;)

@ZOS_GinaBruno, I give you just one example. Long ago I reported a bug with Cyrillic font. One can argue, that it's not a bug and at least the font is readable, but it looks t e r r i b l e , don't you agree? There is an addon, that fixes the issue. Though, console players have no use of it, and why should I install a plugin to fix such a small issue anyway?! I found no answer at all after posting in the Bug Reports thread, so I made a new thread in the General Discussion. That's how it works in most cases, I think. People just want to be sure they are listened. If someone from the team read such posts, they should leave a feedback message there. And, c'mon, the issue I addressed isn't such a big work to do. One guy from the Internet already done your work, and I'm sure you can do it too.

I try to defend ZoS at every chance because lets face it, most of the complaints are invalid from petulant morons but you guys may need to hire a new QA team. I've been playing since Jan 2018 and the game performance wise has gone downhill.

So looking at the first two pages of the bug finder section: 60 topics, 2 actual responses from Devs, one of those from 2016. And you wonder why people don't feel like anyone is paying attention there? Look at the bug report section of the Division 2 forums for an example of how you should be doing it; almost every thread has a dev reply/acknowledgement. I started a thread there and within two days had been responded to, asked for a video to help investigate, and engaged in a discussion with more than one Dev regarding the bug I reported. That's good customer service, not engaging in a routine of ignoring problems for months then just constantly apologizing and promising to communicate better in the future but never actually following up as is the MO here.

It would be nice if the bug report section would have some feedback at the top of every thread.
    Something like:
    • new - entry has not yet been reviewed and seen by QA team
    • more information required - if QA team can't work with the information provided - in this case giving out details what is missing would be extremely helpful
    • acknowledged - QA team reviewed the thread and thinks there is enough information in there to investigate - at this stage it's in a backlog
    • confirmed - QA team have enough evidence/was able to reproduce the issue - the bug is confirmed to be a bug
    • rejected - QA team was not able to reproduce the bug / the behavior is intentional, not a bug
    • duplicate - link to the original thread which reported the issue so everybody can keep commenting there

Would be perfect that way, but there is one fatal flaw in all this : you assume they have a QA team.

The way I see it, ZOS sub-contracts code to the cheapest, third-world-country dev contractant they could find, and then implement it without even reviewing directly on live, skipping all sorts of tests. How else would there be such a flustercluck of bugs with each and every patch ?

I'm sure now that Gina posted something it will be taken care of immediately, like them getting better at communicating. Which they said would improve almost a year ago. Where is the improvement?

If they would fix their product and communicate a whole lot more than they do now, they might not see a ton of posts on the performance in general discussion.

When were they going to start fixes for the game, December was it? Let's see if it happens or if it gets pushed back.

Her job, as per ZOS official website, is "community manager". As such, we don't expect her to fix the servers, we do, however, expect her to relay information. Devs are probably busy breaking fixing stuff already, so they're not on the forums. Gina is supposed to be. Obviously not posting much, unlike many community managers in many companies around the world, but at the very least gathering infos to relay the important ones.

I like how I was agreeing with you until you tried to tell Gina how to do her job or ZOS how to handle their business/teams. #entitlement

Don't derail the good argument you have by means of being upset. We're all upset and you can be sure they know about it. Read the forums with a professional mindset and tell me if you wouldn't go crazy with the toxicity displayed... Not to mention Twitter and Reddit. Gina is human, and as much as I'd like her to fix all our issues with the devs, we need to be understanding of her humanity. Not too much to ask.
