ZOS' problem. They do not listen to the player base and continually make changes that players never wanted. I could care less about this new dungeon dlc. Won't be playing it. Dropped my sub and am playing this game for free now when I do play. Not wasting anymore money on it. This game has become dry, boring and plagued with bugs and performance issues. Wonder how many more bugs and issues will surface with the release of their new dlc.

Don’t even care for the changes. Just dislike dungeons being counted as DLCs and the fact they’ve locked rooms for a house and locked parts of a storyline behind them 🙄 (if there was a 0 option I’d pick 0)

I don't think it deserves a 0 - consoles are finally getting MultiCraft.

    0.1 then?

Because the poll is specifically about an update. We can still ya know I dunno enjoy the game as it currently is. We can like specific aspects of the game while disliking other aspects.

Sick of the never-ending nerfs that seem to be mostly because PVP’ers start complaining. ZOS’ inability to balance PvE and PvP separately continues to impact this PvE’er’s enjoyment of the game.

Yeaaaaa.... In PvE there is no power creep. Like all. 0.

Looking forward to the challenges presented to me, as a player, in this next installment. I appreciate that the developers are trying to keep things "fresh." Though, as I have discussed in other threads, I feel some of these changes and efforts at balancing take some of the uniqueness of character class away-- I still think the power creep from previous changes needed to be addressed. Change can be a positive force over the long run; though, in the short term, adapting to it can be frustrating at times.

"I am a nightblade. Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

At this point I'm only interested in overworld quests, and zones. PvP performance is bad, magicka is builds are only good against overwold mobs, and the hatred between classes are stronger then ever before.

If Dragonhold will be too similar to Elsweyr Chapter (same models for buildings, and fauna) I will lost my interest even there. Never been so close to finish my regular ESO loggins

ZOS please kick the PVP guy out of combat team. You're ruining the game experience for the sake of performance. Find other ways to fix it.

I'd like to see how they'd do that since we currently have several systems in the game that support and reward weaving. I don't see that as a possible change to ever happen.

Im looking forward to refining 4k wood at once, jewelry writs that actually worth something, and the undaunted chests - and finally be able to fish again after months. Everything else in the notes, especially combat related, would make Sheogorath put his coat on a hanger.

Though I cling to the hope that 'it won't be as bad as the PTS patch notes sound', my naivete has been soundly pummeled in that regard with every single 'update'. I have sadly learned that each and every one simply makes my game less fun.

I've had a gutfull of 'adapt and overcome' and despise building my characters on a foundation of shifting sands. Though I'm waiting for the patch to go live before testing and acting, the tentative plan for my (main) PvE healer will be to grind up her resto staff, equip a second destro staff and transition to dps. The other part of my tentative plan is to transition from 90% solo PvE to 100% solo PvE - nerfs are easier to deal with if you play nothing but solo. Is that what we mean by 'adapt and overcome?'

one - there is a bit of a difference between addictiveness of crack and addictiveness of video games.

and the term you are looking for is not addiction as much as "sunk cost fallacy". you invest enough time and money into something - you are less likely to give up on it, just because some thing start to go wrong. it applies to relationships. it applies to careers. and... it applies to MMO's. don't need to be addicted to feel reluctant to give up something you sunk so much time and money and effort into.

even if there is a grandiose master strategy in the long run behind these changes - looking at all these polls and forum threads or the thread on pts forum that i started where i complained about the patch (that has over 70 agrees which i have never seen) - this CLEARLY shows that at least...

...they are doing a horrible job in communicating their vision if there is one

And i am thinking more and more that everything they do is always with a thought on monetization - increasing the nr of guild skills being used and selling them now in the crown store...aha

If you start looking at changes from a monetization point of view they start making more and more sense... and if you think this is tin foil hat talk - look at bethesda's recent actions - EVERYTHING (bad) they have done was due to monetization - they are basically ruining every single franchise they have due to monetization decisions - and they lied about it also constantly...

I mean just watch the video "the fall of 76"... its mind boggling

There is a real cancer in the game industry at the moment. Maximizing short term monetization at the cost of long term player retention. I worry that unlike earlier games that leave a sense of nostalgia in most players minds this era is going to be remembered with bitterness at all the beloved franchises that are ruined for a quick profit. The same is happening in the movie industry. Maybe soon we'll start seeing some game and movie studios buck this trend.

what is crazy to me is that in EVERY other industry - when companies do these kind of things they get immediately put in the spot light by the public and the journalists - finance, energy, pharma...

But in the gaming industry - nope - it is completely accepted - in fact - more often than not, journalists who should be consumer advocates and corporate watch dogs more often than not side with publishers that portrait themselves as victims while abusing and ripping of their customers

Most video game journalists are paid off by the big publishers. The Jeff Gerstmann fiasco in 2007 (Gamespot fired him when he refused to give a positive score to a sponsor's game) opened my eyes to the level of corruption in that industry.

Ha..one only has to look at the Madden 20 media reviewer scores vs. Fan scores.

    Media scores average: 75
    Fan scores avarage: 4.1

    https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2848307-madden-20-expert-review-scores-and-fan-reaction

There's definitely some corruption in the gaming industry.

Except ZOS broke one of things I was most excited for: Multi-craft. *facepalm* It worked on PTS! How hard is it to leave the default keybind in place between PTS and live??? How hard is it to not stick GamepadUI with stuff we won't be able to use for months because "meh, no one uses gamdpadui".

Some changes seem great, but until performance is fixed i cant get excited for any future updates/content as i can barely play the game as it is. That includes overland pve.
