Don’t even care for the changes. Just dislike dungeons being counted as DLCs and the fact they’ve locked rooms for a house and locked parts of a storyline behind them 🙄 (if there was a 0 option I’d pick 0)

i dreaded it at first but gameplay changes are needed to keep the game fresh. I've seen a lot of interesting commentary and did a lot of thinking about how it affects me personally, and i'm honestly fine with it at this point.

Played my werewolf on test with the new changes, and he was garbage. Nobody asked for this unique "class" to be rendered irrelevant, other than a few PvPers who didn't want to actually learn how to counter us. Plus, with the across the board nerfs, we will be even less welcome in group or trial content. And having to spam Rapids every 8 seconds on test while running through dungeons or harvesting materials is the biggest head scratcher since they rendered Bosmer unstealthy for no good reason.

A lot of people who don't do test or come to the forums are in for a rude awakening tomorrow!

lets see - interesting sets already nerfed to the ground before release so no reason to do the dungeons

class identities destroyed now also for magicka where only non class weapon and guild skills are relevant now (conveniently purchased in a crown store near you)

the community always asked for MORE stamina class identities and morphs and now they went the exact OPPOSITE way and just killed the magicka one as well

I don't think there was ever a patch in this game that killed my motivation as hard as this one...honestly, i am not even motivated to log in anymore at this point

even if there is a grandiose master strategy in the long run behind these changes - looking at all these polls and forum threads or the thread on pts forum that i started where i complained about the patch (that has over 70 agrees which i have never seen) - this CLEARLY shows that at least...

...they are doing a horrible job in communicating their vision if there is one

And i am thinking more and more that everything they do is always with a thought on monetization - increasing the nr of guild skills being used and selling them now in the crown store...aha

If you start looking at changes from a monetization point of view they start making more and more sense... and if you think this is tin foil hat talk - look at bethesda's recent actions - EVERYTHING (bad) they have done was due to monetization - they are basically ruining every single franchise they have due to monetization decisions - and they lied about it also constantly...

I mean just watch the video "the fall of 76"... its mind boggling

There is a real cancer in the game industry at the moment. Maximizing short term monetization at the cost of long term player retention. I worry that unlike earlier games that leave a sense of nostalgia in most players minds this era is going to be remembered with bitterness at all the beloved franchises that are ruined for a quick profit. The same is happening in the movie industry. Maybe soon we'll start seeing some game and movie studios buck this trend.

what is crazy to me is that in EVERY other industry - when companies do these kind of things they get immediately put in the spot light by the public and the journalists - finance, energy, pharma...

But in the gaming industry - nope - it is completely accepted - in fact - more often than not, journalists who should be consumer advocates and corporate watch dogs more often than not side with publishers that portrait themselves as victims while abusing and ripping of their customers

Most video game journalists are paid off by the big publishers. The Jeff Gerstmann fiasco in 2007 (Gamespot fired him when he refused to give a positive score to a sponsor's game) opened my eyes to the level of corruption in that industry.

Indifferent. It is a dungeon DLC right? So not for me. And I don't care about changes either. I've played MMO's so long I just don't care anymore. If the day comes that I'm really, really unhappy, I just quit.

Honestly i despise this patch. Its BARELY losing to nerfmire for worst patch in eso history.

    - The dot thing is a joke
    - The heal nerfs are a joke
    - The multi bid system is THE WORST design ive ever seen. Its literally already having the opposite effect of everything both the devs and players wanted for the trading system. Everyone and thier mother involved in trading guilds is dreading this and know it is going to be a trainwreck of colossal proportion but once again zos is too egotistical and is carrying on with their vision and players are going to deal with it.
    - Non class skills are out preforming class skills.
    - Mag is still miles behind stam in every aspect of the game.
    - Nothing done to stamcro, I get their trying real hard to sell elsweyr but ffs tone it back alittle. stamcro is at a 40, dial it back to a 10 when all your other classes are between a 1-5.
    - Another round of nerfs everyone is tired asf of adapting too.
    - No real change to anything that is bothering players
    - No QoL improvements their not charging us for
    - No performance fixes
    - Why we are continuously nerfing things despite the fact that even zos has stated content completion in low just so under 20% of the top players will have to adjust somethings and continue being op is a joke

And what to we get for that?

    - Dungeons to sit an hr in que finder for per run, to farm gear. (Yey grinding, like i havent farmed 200 sets of gear already)
    - Improvement to undaunted chests that should have been changed a year ago

How anyone would be excited for this patch is beyond my imagination. How anyone doesnt here the words " pts will be up next week" without getting repulsed anymore is also out of my realm of understanding

Sick of the never-ending nerfs that seem to be mostly because PVP’ers start complaining. ZOS’ inability to balance PvE and PvP separately continues to impact this PvE’er’s enjoyment of the game.

I have cancelled ESO+. I would rather put the same money into a proper subscription MMO that looks after its player base and most importantly respects the time and effort players have invested in their characters.

I'm not resistant to change and all MMOs need to evolve and sometimes this means major changes and nerfs to certain things. But ESO's game balance is of the headless chicken variety, some of the worst I've seen in any MMO. It seems to be a constant sequence of patches where they just throw the cards up in the air and see where they fall.

The problem is, once you start messing around with balance like this, it becomes extremely hard to assess the impact of changes you make and everything gets totally out of whack. And every time you do it you are asking your players to adjust, to invest more time (and money) in adjusting. And for what? Is the game more enjoyable because of it? All too often the answer is no. Players can be very accepting of change if its for the right reasons, but if you mess people about they often just stop stop playing, find something better to do with their time and some never come back.

While I know I can adapt to the changes, it looks like it going to not be much fun to play healer.
Also the rewards for the new dungeons aren’t especially compelling imo

I unsubbed and uninstalled. I came back to the forum one last time to see if any of their retardation had been curbed, but no.

There's even more of it now.

So, there's two and a half years playing this at its end.

Exactly this. I stopped playing the second I saw the leaked patch notes, cancelled my ESO+ after the first pts went live - best decision I ever made! I can't believe I spend money every patch before to 'adapt'/stay competitive (e.g. changed race of like 8+ chars after the racial changes). Also the time and frustration of grinding skills and gear anew every three months - I spend more time grinding than actually playing (enjoying) the content I liked. Now I moved on to multiple other games and I don't regret my decision at all. It's sad to see what the game turned into over the course of time, tho...
