2) power surge was made a nice aoe hot for sorc healers
3) major sorcery is gained from spell power pots you're already using on live

7) magsorcs are fine. i mean, relatively speaking. pretty much all mag was gutted for hard content but we're not really talking about that, we're talking about sorcs specifically.

Stam sorc is easy to do VMA with. You can still 1 bar it with WW if you're into that.
Return power surge to what it was @ZOS_BrianWheeler
For PvE, you can always switch to Critical Surge and use Spell Power potions -- that's what I did when I used to farm vMA on a MagSorc last year. Though this does seem terrible for PvP Magsorcs because the healing is now far less reliable, and they'll have to switch to Critical Surge and run either Spell Power potions instead of Tri-Stat or slot Entropy (which is an ability I despise using).

If you feel that way, then way suggest the changes aren't too bad because you can overcome them by using gear/consumables instead of, you know, a skill that defines the class?
Just come out and say the change rips away identity and shouldn't be implemented regardless if there is some boring (and expensive) alternative to replace a class skill.

I really need someone on the team to explain this logic of taking a solo heal and completely reworking its effect so that it no longer can be used as a solo heal.

I’d also like to understand why they threw such a significant change to A class and playstyle in at the last second like it was as significant as what color to make a rug in the inn. Every sorc dps with no pets is now
Going to have to have a resto backbar or rely the slowest clunkiest heal with a cast time. ( darkdeal.) Yes- sorc the dps with hardly a buff, debuff, terrible self healing, no variety is the class the game reccommends to new players.
They realized their changes to healing totally obliterated sorc healers so they threw this in instead if taking one if the many useless skills and making it useful for a healer

Is there going to be any Sorc meta for PvP or PvE that does NOT feature Entropy? Most players are going to be slotting Entropy and Soul Trap in place of a pet.

See after patch how it goes. Adapt and replace ur Power surge with Entropy, or free a skillslot and pot major sorcery. Slot maelstrom resto on back and get ur heals ticking. There is many options, world will still spin after maintenance
