
Let me get this straight... you’re trying to animation cancel a roll dodge... so that you dodge the incoming damage without looking like you’re roll dodging?
And it’s a nerf if you can’t do that anymore?
Pts cycle 2 and this has still gotten no comment from zos. This has to be addressed. This is such a major issue and if its not intended it needs to be fixed before this goes live. Sadly there are not enough console users who also play the pts, or PC gamepad users, to get this the attention that this deserves.
Please, we need to know whats going on with this. And if it is intended we need to have time to discuss it. Because not only is this change awful, it gives keyboard users an advantage against gamepad users that they should not have. Again, the advantages of using keyboard are already enough, perfectly fine imo, but this is too far.
Can someone at zos please take this seriously.

Many core combat abilities such as Sprint, Dodge, Bash, and bar swapping can fail to occur if cast within 100ms of activating an ability. This is under investigation with high priority, and we’re working on getting it fixed as quickly as possible.

I tested remapping to see if it's a dodgeroll thing and it's not. So for sure not intended. PC Gamepad users would be fine remapping if it stays broken. It actually improves dodgeroll to remap, so even when they fix it, I'm probably gonna just use the jump button to dodge.
Apparently, console can't remap so it's an urgent situation.
+1 for this Emma, the game has been like this forever, changing it would mean a new game. A worse game. A game I don't think I'll want to play. For a Pvp AND Pve perspective this is bad, and I'm not a pver. The only people this benefits are those who don't want to learn how to play the game to be "competitive" (I know using the word competitive in eso is really iffy, but I think you'll get my point), and in turn decide to join whatever zerg that's big enough to have people left over after a fight to rez them when they die hard-casting frags.
Or they are disabled.
I'm not in favor of removing ani cancelling but can we please stop with the rhetoric that people that don't ani cancel are all lazy or skill-less?
