    Let me get this straight... you’re trying to animation cancel a roll dodge... so that you dodge the incoming damage without looking like you’re roll dodging?

    And it’s a nerf if you can’t do that anymore?

    No, what people do, espacailly in console is animation cancel a skill to dodge roll, not the dodge roll it's self. Say 2h excaution since it's most common, it has long animation so people usully excaute, animation cancel, dodge roll. You would not see a the excaute, but if you check your death cap you will see it. This is mostly used when 1/2vx or fighting against people who hel a lot to hit them faster than they heal. Nobody can animation cancel dodge roll its self. There is this youtuber, I think his name is kristofer eso or something similar. If you see his gameplay footges, he uses animation cancel to dodge roll a lot which helps me being mobile as well.

    Pts cycle 2 and this has still gotten no comment from zos. This has to be addressed. This is such a major issue and if its not intended it needs to be fixed before this goes live. Sadly there are not enough console users who also play the pts, or PC gamepad users, to get this the attention that this deserves.

    Please, we need to know whats going on with this. And if it is intended we need to have time to discuss it. Because not only is this change awful, it gives keyboard users an advantage against gamepad users that they should not have. Again, the advantages of using keyboard are already enough, perfectly fine imo, but this is too far.

    Can someone at zos please take this seriously.

    Is this not them addressing it? From most recent PTS notes:
    Many core combat abilities such as Sprint, Dodge, Bash, and bar swapping can fail to occur if cast within 100ms of activating an ability. This is under investigation with high priority, and we’re working on getting it fixed as quickly as possible.

    Mr Lags, it was in the patch notes. They know it's broken and that it's a big deal.

    I tested remapping to see if it's a dodgeroll thing and it's not. So for sure not intended. PC Gamepad users would be fine remapping if it stays broken. It actually improves dodgeroll to remap, so even when they fix it, I'm probably gonna just use the jump button to dodge.

    Apparently, console can't remap so it's an urgent situation.

    Ya I just missed it in the patch notes. Well props to them on that because it is a serious problem.. I wish they were this quick to address performance issues, but credit where credit is due. Awesome.

    I wish they addressed how dodge roll immunity isn't synced with the animation, (the reason the bow roll passive comes a half second after you already stand up)

    Agree. I'm indifferent about removing animation cancelling even though it was clearly not intended by design. I do like the fact they seem to be trying to restrict players from ani cancelling ultis which is good.

    However, calling animation cancelling skill based when it is merely mindless muscle memory is laughable.

    Is dodge roll not giving snare immunity anymore or what? I tested dodge roll with a friend, I only get immoblization immunity rather than both snare and immoblization. Can someone please tell me when they changed it? O god, what did they do to dodge roll? Nothing works

    its fixed. at least from what I can tell when i hopped on the PTS and tried a couple dodge rolls.
