What is a Kiss-Curse?

English is unfortunately not my main language.
Yes, i tried googling it, that brings up a single topic from the Blizzard Forums that doesn't help me to understand the change for RoP, the other results are romantic ebooks and songs from Amazon music, and a homepage of what looks like a country singer.

Explanation what "kiss-curse"-option means would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers, Cheezits
If you can't even spell sets, locations and items, you probably have no clue what you even are talking about.

Tamriel, not Tamerial, Temerial or Tamériál
Alkosh, not Alkoash
Dolmen, not Dolman
Olorime, not Oloramie
Sorcerer, not Sorceror

    The devs don’t even know.

I mean... it’s a heal with a kissy curse thingy that doesn’t get the rune anymore or something.

    Very well explained.

They mean that you pay a penalty for the bonus. You gain a heal with the morph but you lose the duration of the protection as the penalty.

They're just making terms up now and expecting the players to know.

Might want to add a patch note explaining what "kiss-curse" is if it will be a new mechanic.

I think it means you sacrifice some of the bonuses of the base skill (this would be the "curse") but gain another powerful bonus (which would be the "kiss"). So Heal = kiss but lower duration = curse? Not quite sure to be honest.

Ahaa. Thanks a lot, that makes sense!

It spreads from the original duration. THink of nova morph with major maim persistence, or the new soul trap where it spreads to 2 targets.

Soul Splitting Trap has this kiss-curse disease too.

And i would have appreciated it a lot, had they used that term.

But why does a trade-off come at the COST of the rune, if it really comes at the duration?

I interpreted it as if two of the circles touch (kiss) then some effect gets negated to prevent stacking. But I dunno.

They also used it to describe soul splitting trap, so maybe it heals people nearby those that get healed by the circle.......?

Yea thanks for clearing that up. My interpretation was much too intuitive to be a zos thing.

A kiss "curse" can be a lot of things. If you are lucky you are immune to it or "dodged" it.
It can hit you weak, like mentioned above. Sometimes however, if the critical dmg of your oppenent is strong and you are unlucky and get an incoming crit.... well , that's another story.
****Pic removed ***** imagine a ww without dmg or a healer without aoe heals.

Intelligent people would say "carries a tradeoff" or "now carries the tradeoff..." or simply "the tradeoff." Pedants and financial/economic professionals would say "opportunity cost."

Ignorant gaming industry, fanbois and the like make up nonsense jargon like "kiss curse" constantly (see also "skill ceiling/floor," "BIS," "meta," etc.) to sound more intelligent than they are and to make what they are talking about seem more lofty than a "rote level learning" arcade game ala Ms. Pac Man at its core.
