What is a Kiss-Curse?

"Kiss-Curse" is probably referencing how Judas betrayed Christ to the mob by identifying him with a kiss; A gesture intended to appear good, but is in fact discretely a major "*** you" to the recipient (us players).

On another note, Devs should stick to communicating like real people instead of these overly hoighty-toighty, flowery, poetic terms which I doubt even they use internally. Just say it's a damned trade-off ffs...

They're peacocks and you have to let them fly. I don't think anyone would have noticed if it wasn't used twice on different skills. Someone at ZOS was itching to throw down some kiss-curses this update.

@ZOS_GinaBruno was it you? Or were you just typing up the kiss-curses and thinking to yourself "Oh man, someone is gonna say something about this"

"Kiss-Curse" is a term we use in design to describe the intentional pairing of both positive and negative effects on an individual item/ability/etc. The intent of the design pattern is to broaden the design possibility space (including more powerful versions of effects) and create more interesting choices for players when constructing their builds.

I think it means that let's say the benefit is an extra 10,000 health for 10 seconds, then majika is reduced by 5,000 for the same amount of time. Tradeoffs like that.

This one always thought it was when a Khajiit feels affectionate and wants to rub your nose but then you find out they just ate rancid tuna.

    Yours with paws
    Santie Claws

No it's when a Khajiit actually does rub your nose and then you realize there are no bathrooms with toilet paper within 500 miles.

They should come up with a new set, "The Armor of the Kiss-Curse," where the 2 pc bonus is negated by the 3rd etc., so the set ends up doing nothing.

So Vampire is like a Kiss-Curse?
Sarcasm is something too serious to be taken lightly

I was born with the wrong sign
    In the wrong house
    With the wrong ascendancy
    I took the wrong road
That led to the wrong tendencies
I was in the wrong place at the wrong time
For the wrong reason and the wrong rhyme
On the wrong day of the wrong week
Used the wrong method with the wrong technique

I absolutely love everything about this thread. Lmfao. "It's a kiss-curse ability!"-said no one ever. I cant wait to stop by TnL later for a meat-tube with mustard and chili.
