None of the above because the bread is usually so, so unhealthy - full of refined sugar and bleached white flour - then smeared with some kind of artificially emulsified spread.
Instead, I go for the whole works:I hope I have not missed anything off the list. There is something that is just not right if one does it in half measures.
- Dry cured bacon, from a reputable source.
- Eggs (The only known food source containing all 9 essential amino acids for humans) fried in unsalted butter, with a white film over a runny yoke and a delicate crispy lace edge around the edges of the white.
- Home made fried sausages.
- Grilled plum tomatoes - home grown when available.
- Butter fried mushrooms - foraged when in season.
- Butter saute potatoes.
- Quality Black Pudding, made with oats and husk barley - shallow-fried in real butter.
- The one slightly naughty bit - we Brits know what "Beanz means".
- Toasted (or fried) Caraway-seed Rye with butter.
