Scratter Shot Range Nerf Ruins Bow Gameplay... Again...

    Maybe nerf the range boost in pvp then? What I like is for ranged weapons to work at range. Very simple concept.

    Almost all ranged CCs used to be 22m max way back in the day - it worked fine, and people will quickly adapt again.

    No it didn't work fine, people (unless melee) did not use those abilities. It's always been 28m range cc only abilities. And the consistency in combat rotation means everything. Having some abilities 28m vs 22m will cause you to miss kills, mess up rotations, etc. It's bad design and the change to 28m for scatter shot should not be reverted.

    Bad design is it to have max range CC that kicks your target out of your range like Destructive Reach with a fire staff did for example.

    Bringing ranged CC back to 22m is a good way to make PvP less cheesy and remove the Scatter Shot / Reach spam.

    Should be even shorter. The skill is designed to knock away a melee enemy and create a gap. One morph even knock you back to create an even bigger distance.

    Now it is just a skill mostly used by *** tier players. CC from behind the zerg, cloak/run when attacked and shoot again safely from behind the zerg.

    The skill is just there to be annoying and ruining the chance for a fun fight for someone else.

    I personally think 22m is fine, just saying that Scatter Shot hasn't changed in functionality, it still fulfills the same role in your kit.

    the issue is that you can use scatter shot efficiently once per 5sec because of the CC immunity it offers to your target while gapclosers have no cooldown.
    => the gap you try to create is more about buying 1s out of 5 than anything else.

    they reallyy should keep those ranged CC 28m range like all other ranged skill so that you can combo properly.
    we also need all melee skill to be either 5/6 or 7 m to be consistent. right now range are so messy: executionner have 5m range, light attacks have 6m range, i suspect heavy attacks to have a 7m range, and finally onslaught has 7m range.
    this is bad for weaving and reliably landing skills.

    Interesting point about gap closers being spammable.

    That renders the idea that knockbacks are meant for creating space null and void.

    They only do so if the opponent has no gap closer.

    The skill is just there to be tactically smart and is ruining the chance for Heavy Armor builds spamming Forward Momentum and some 2-H skill over and over.

    A smart play style that is very effective against Toxic Heavy Armor 2-H spammer builds (mostly) used by trash players.

    Then remove the knockback, but keep the range and stun. This is such a silly argument. There's not reason a bow should be forced to fight in mid-close range. That's bad design.

    Better stop fixing because you do a terrible job at it.

    Every *** tier pvp nightblade has this skill slotted and will spam it like it is the only skill on their bar (and cloak because imagine actually fighting...)

    Also it is not effective. Just annoying and the only way someone will die from getting hit by draining shot is when the zerg kills you during the annoying to break cc.

    Nerf is quiet ok, with 28m Range its giving a lot more edge to those rangers

    Im so sad that the single most annoying ability in the game was slightly nerfed.

    All bow abilities need the range nerfed to avoid griefing in PvP. Ppl hide in cloak and spam into groups with absolutely ZERO consequences or danger. That is broken.
