Egos are such fragile things.
Lol, the tears of pvp'ers who can't handle the whole world not catering to them and their Most Special Snowflakeness.
Is this an example of a non toxic PvE player? lmao

if you can't take people calling you on your BS then don't try to dish it out.
anyway.
One thing i will add is that players gets the worst of both worlds; there are few zones and things dedicated to it [which is fine imo because they can barely handle the existing pvp content well], and yet, all the PvE content- which is the majority of the game and playerbase - is balanced around pvp.
no, don't even try. PvE is consistently nerfed or changed to suit the PvP minority. Separate balancing isn't even on the same dimension as zos. Seriously, when was the last time something was nerfed in PvE for PvE reasons? Like because hodor or someone was doing something too fast? I think the only time it'll happen is the major vulnerability nerf eventually, but even that might take a year or two.

If folks want game world persistant pvp, what we need is a Darktide like server that allows for pvp in the entire gsme world, but only people who voluntarily choose to play there on that server would be affected obviously.
If people know what they are getting into, it would create some interesting dynamics, as there are TONs of places with valued resources to compete over. Far too many for any one guild to monopolize, which would create dynamic political alliances etc. All of the things that PvP MMO strive for but rarely achieve when forced to do overland pvp on one simple map.
Shadowbane, as poorly techinically written as it was code wisw, got this right as did the PvP server in Asherons Call, imo.
Judging by the reactions on this thread I'm guessing classic WoW will remain the only MMO with actual world PvP. Guess everyone has their own tastes.
This is why pvp/pve should be separate and have separate servers. Allow people to make that choice. Instead we get a simulated zone and no reason for anyone to go to that zone outside of pvp.
Could we atleast bring back "buff" servers? Make caltrops/vigor as much of a grind as undaunted? Sometimes I gotta PvE for sets even if I dont like it. But we made spell strategist and all the new rewards of the worthy sets tradeable so it isnt really reciprocal.
I guess it's all an outdated concept to have pvp tied into the progression system and I'm just old fashioned.

Funny, this coming from someone who wants an event to intentionally grief players who want nothing to do with them.
You assume a lot.

This is rich coming from someone who assumes pver's have fragile egos.
But many players do have a problem with a human killing them as opposed to AI.

However, fair's fair. If there were to be a Purge Day foisted upon PvE world, then there should also be a World Peace Day for one day in Cyrodiil where attacks do nothing. If you want a day to gank PvE players in their world, then we should get a free day to go do skyshards/delves/dolmens/fishing with no fear in Cyrodiil.
only if there's a peace day in cyro where you can just walk around and quest without getting ganked by 70 sweaty rank 50 pvpers who do nothing but wait for pvers to happen by.
number 1 way to get everyone to hate the game more is by introducing/forcing more pvp.
That sounds like an excellent way to get non PvP players and new players to hate the game. Would the pvpers like to participate in an annual event where you can't attack any other players and all you can do in cyrodil is shake hands with other factions?
This is actually an interesting idea, I wouldn't mind if this was permanently PVP enabled with no grouping, every day of the year.Too many don't like pvp. I'd suggest that they could do something interesting at Hammerdeath arena.
Trial scores are higher than they've ever been.Snip.
all the PvE content- which is the majority of the game and playerbase - is balanced around pvp.
Snip..

Pvpers were even qqing about the pvdoor incident being fair which questers didn’t like. Like how is it fun loading in to turn in the quest and immediately dying?karthrag_inak wrote: »i like to pvp some, but imo too much of this game has been ruined by pvp'er whinging.
and of course this thread is an attempt to ease that ceaseless pvp'er whinging by providing a chance for them to shout out "pve'er qq".
