No one has mentioned the important part... the hot stops if its consumed. A skill thats most beneficial when its not being synergized is counter productive, so your tank loses an Alkosh synergy so your dps can have close to pre nerf heals? And most dps will probably still hit x either for Lokke or on instinct.

Because its not important part because its not how it works. The 'consumed' part means when the skill is ended early in the second cast of the skill.

This is like Christmas in July for Warden tanks. They now can make use of Nature's Gift passive without having to rely on unstable Leeching Vines.

    Thank you Zos, much appreciated.

TBH vine still look better for tank
    But yeah it's a good improvement !

Blood Altar is now insta-cast so you don't need Vines for the Lifesteal. And with the way Vines work (you face your entire trial group, you cast 4x Vines in a row and you still get all 4 Vines on yourself) you can't use them for reliable stamina generation while blocking. However new Budding Seeds are perfect for the case.

I don't use vine for life steal, I use the other morph.
Their is always a healer who run altar for life steal (I do) so you don't need it.
For the vine, you just have to quickly turn, use vine and back tanking.
    Pretty easy with some practice.

But that just my personal choice, not gonna said it's the best way or so.

The whole point was about proccing Nature's gift. While vines are nice skill they dont proc nature's gift on yourself

I really like that they did this to the skill but... it just feels way overloaded especially when 3 other classes lack OP healing skills like this. A skill like this on a Sorcerer/DK/NB to make them viable healers? Yes please. On a Warden? Uhm... how about making the "non-healers" better and give them at least comparable skills.

From a big picture PVP perspective (I know, I know it is not all about PVP) the Magden is ONLY effective as a support/healer role as it has not DPS capabilities of note. It has ZERO mechanism for survivability in PVP. All other classes have a clear thought out survival mechanism, except Magdens. They can't cloak, run, dodge roll, streak. They have no "stop attacking and get away from me skills" like Eclipse or Haunting etc. They have no AOE snare like Sacred Ground to allow snare and run away like little girls like Templars. They do have what many will say is the worst stun in the game (only single target). But that is pretty useless as if you do manage to get the stun to hit you still no mechanism whatsoever to get out of danager for the second you bought.

The new AOE fear skill is pretty much a necessity for a Magden to be anything less then its current state which is as PVP roadkill. It is still the same problem however. It is great they can fear away everyone for a second, but they are still stuck basically standing there with zero mechanism to escape from danger.

Another way of looking at it this one of the very few Magden's "one big thing". It is their Shalks, or Surprise Attack or whatever. Saying every other class needs to do it too PLUS keep whatever their one big thing is for themselves is a big ask.

Bird prey is the escape and winter revenge is the snare.
They lack dmg imho, not escape.
Same in pve, warden Mag lake dmg.

Edit : Permafrost also, good annoying CC to get out

I do like this change. It’d be very useful for PvE.

I do think people in PvP would complain against it though.

I agree Magdens are a bit weak in PvP right now, but they don’t really lack in escapability IMO. They have major expedition and crystallized shield, as well as tons of snaring built into their frost-centered kit. It’s not the best toolkit in terms of escaping, because crystallized shield does nothing against melee, but it’s better than or at least comparable to MagDK or Magplar for instance, IMO.

I had made a HoT suggestion for Budding Seeds some time ago and it's finally being implemented. Burst heals are not as effective because the most dangerous damage is actually chip damage which creeps up and makes it far easier for players to be instantly killed. Persistent, cost-efficient healing is the best healing - Budding Seeds is now BOTH!

How about we all start to show appreciation when something gets a minor buff, and instead of crying for nerfs, ask for more buffs to other classes that need it. The nerf crying is what landed us in this mess of an update, and any buffs at all to any healing are going to be sorely needed. Now lets get them to give attention to buffing the other non Templar and non Warden healers.
