Shatter Soul ultimate viability

    I would really like to hear a TRUE justification from a dev from this.

    The only comment from the dev was "to help reduce the bursty nature of the ultimate". (PTS patch notes)
    ==> IT IS A FRICKING ULTIMATE why not call them MINIMATES if you don't want them to do a lot of damage (Which this skill even didn't, actually it needed a buff in damage), and besides that it -ONLY- did 20% more damage then weaving for 2.9 seconds?? Unbelievable these people are employed at a game studio and are in charge of skill balancing... Just absurd...

    Yes, both ULTIMATES will have to be at least buffed with a 75% damage increase, just like their Ultimate cost has gone up 75%. Or bring them back to their original value's...

    This Ultimate right now:
    - 170 Ultimate cost (lol...)
    - Do less damage then spamming a -BASIC- Light Attack / Spammable weave (lol...)
    - Not able to block attacks from your attackers (lol...)
    - Not able to dodge attacks from your attackers (lol...)
    - Not able to cast other skills / buffs / shields (lol...)
    - Move at 50% speed for 5 seconds (because of cast time... lol...)
    - If the target goes out of line of sight (tree, rock, etc), poof, the ULTIMATE ends (lol...)
    - If the target runs away at burst speed (180% speed) while you are casting (50% movement speed) the target just runs out of range, poof, the ULTIMATE ends (lol...)
    - This above all for 5 seconds

    Really ZOS. Don't nerf because of your own hate for some skills, because you died by them, because this is starting to look a lot like "skill hating by devs themselves - nerf justification"...

    But ok, it's not too late... It's only PTS, the devs have time enough to realize they made a mistake and CORRECT IT IN TIME.

    ZOS, you stil have time!

    Except that even though it's written as the usual cry message, most of the stuff he mentions is correct. I agree that this ultimate is annoying af and also often used as a zerg tool, but that doesn't mean it should be nerfed into the ground with less dmg and way more ult cost.
    Please stop being happy about nerfs which are completely over the top just because they improve your own play style, you're a good enough player to compensate otherwise

    Maybe if there is no reasonable use case for anyone it barely matters if it is nerfed to being only a bit deader than it was... and then spend a patch or two working on a re:work.

    Soul Assault usually overperforms only when it is most obnoxious (Xv1ing the few medium builds left) and underperforms against the generally obnoxious tank meta. As is, the PTS is arguably a buff for Xv1ing NBs which people love to do.

    Soul Shatter has just been bad and hasn't had a use case outside of wanting to use it because the skill is ranged and is an exploding laser blast.

    It needs a larger rework.

    Doesn´t soul shatter apply the reveal 2x on pts? Once on beam start and then on explosion? Has potential to be even more Xv1 material than it already was...

    Revert the cost change, cut the damage in half? Make the channel only 1 second. No longer a hard counter to medium armor, just a solid burst generic mag ult. Singe target to balance with meteor being AOE.

    My only problem with soul assault was few updates back when it snared. As of now, I think the ultimate is fine on live. The pts changes just makes it even more annoying for medium armor builds that have to block multiple assaults for 5 whole seconds. That stamina drain would be insane.

    Keep soul salt as is but increase to 135 or 150 and increase damage. That way it can be used to kill low health targets.

    IMO on live, most would say it's underpowered, while a few less skilled players would say it's overpowered... Doesn't really need a nerf. Definitely doesn't need a damage nerf. MAYBE a slight cost increase... but probably not, seeing as it's really only used as a finisher anyway (to finish off rolley polleys, and therefore a great skill to NOT nerf!). Compare that to a standard exe, which you can spam on GCD... this ult is up often but not as often as GCD.
