It's an awesome skill on 4man content, if healer has good positioning.

In PvP it's like a 3K heal. I use Blessing of Restoration instead.
This is really funny. On one hand, players are crying because of "unification" and that weapon abilities should be nerfed so class abilities could be used instead. On the other hand, when it comes to a healing ability that is simply stronger than class abilities (for burst heal, not for the buff Combat Prayer has), you're crying too.
Why a DK healer should use his class burst heal when Combat Prayer is here? Why a NB healer should do it? Have you seen stamina DPS setup on the PTS? Every class has the same bars, the same setup, except for maybe 1 utility spell. Healers have had this issue since always, but it's fine, right?
If class skills become stronger for healing then non-class skills then the gap between classes widens. Without non-class healing skills most classes wouldn’t even be able to heal a vet dungeon.
No. It would take away the only universal AoE burst heal.

And why wouldn't the devs be able to change class abilities to lower the gap back? They do that all the time for DPS.
Some classes don’t get enough class heals. Take for example sorc, I think all they have is the pet heal for class healing abilities. You can’t buff what a class doesn’t have.
Exactly, there is none. But why should I use a single target burst when there is an aoe burst that is simply stronger?

And that's why I propose the change - make it a HoT with a small upfront burst heal - so you can choose if you want to use a single, and strong, burst heal that is used for 1 person, or an aoe heal, that is weaker, but it's aoe with a buff and such.
It's the same issue they're addressing now - they are buffing single target DoTs and nerfing aoe DoTs, because right now on Live, why would I use single target DoT when there is an aoe DoT that is simply stronger?

Healing Springs are ground based HoT, Combat Prayer is a target heal (and it would be a target HoT), so your argument is flawed.
Outside of small group PvP, and dungeons single target heals have always been, and will always be complete trash. Your *** "solution" to a non-existent problem just creates a different problem. Only the half of the classes with AoE burst heals would then be considered viable healers.
