as long as the sorc could be nerfed. After that the servers could be turned off.

I’ve been hearing “dead by the end of the year” since beta. I imagine it will live as long as it is profitable.

This is the correct answer. Nobody knows for sure, except that this is a business and will continue as long as there is enough profit to justify it.

Big rofl at anyone who thinks the game is on "life support" or on the verge of dying though. Population is at an all time high and new content is churning out for better or for worse. If you see a doomsayer post, take it with a grain of salt because it is almost certainly a pvp player who doesn't realize that the game is thriving outside of pvp.

For me personally, it's until bloat makes game collapse to permanently unplayable state

Why do i not experience it this way?

Many ppl say the performance are bad or the game is broken.

Have play more then 1700 hours and only i hate the maintenance thing have never experience things what ppl here say on the forums.

It might be you lose interest when you play the game to long (Sometimes) a break like me can help get your interest back.

Assuming you actually do content like PvP and group PvE and you don't experience performance problems, congratulations for you and your guildmates.

So its a PvP only problem? Its for me a long time ago i have play PvP.

I can not judge on that yet.

It's like 90% pvp issues. There's also a lot of various "queue" related issues. Other than that there's just minor things here and there. Performance outside of pvp is fine enough.

Ironically lots of the later problems is because of too many new players.

Some has joked that the PTS changes is the combat team way to solve the overcrowding.
They promised that it would not cost anything, yes it would reduce income a lot but they did not have to spend money :)
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

People have been saying the game was dying since April 2014 because of various reasons. Clearly they are not clues into the realities of how well this game has done.

It's been doing really well since day 1.
There was a lot of disappointment at first, yes, but they had enough hype that got them enough funds to quickly fix the problems from back then and kickstart.

After that they have invested massively into marketing campaigns that paid off and as a result the player base is booming.

I've been here since the beta. I take few month breaks whenever I finish all new content, but I always come back and will keep coming back for the next decade for sure.
But I've definitely noticed its huge progress leaps, increasingly crowded user base, and quality increase over the years since launch.

I would speculate 2025 is when the game will reach its apex, 2030 will start a slow decline and by 2040 it will likely still be on but dead aside from the occasional few hundred players.

I know several games from 2006 that are way worse in quality; very money hungry and expensive, and yet still alive and updating today.
