Unfortunately their customer service is sub par in regards to what the customers are demanding, meaning they are under staffed because they weren't prepared. It would be fair for customers with circumstances to be compensated, but this will no doubt have to be given through a procedure of identifying each customer who falls under the criteria applicable for compensation, which would probably take a lot of resource to do as it will no doubt call for an investigation into each person with said bugs.revanghost wrote: »It all depends if they have broke what they've promised, when purchasing the game they promise the games content, and further subscription for access to their servers, a bit blunt but from what I see is, some of the content isn't accessible, now you'll have to find legal clause within T's and C's to be able to get a refund, but I presume they will have had it covered by stipulating that any bugs within the content shall be fixed through live updates so I doubt you have a legal standing for a refund.
I think I agree. I was never considering anything legal, or getting into that type of thing. I just set aside money for this game because it looked so fantastic. I upgraded to Imperial edition when it became apparent that I wasn't getting a horse anytime soon because of how expensive everything is, as well as how awesome Imperials passives are. But, I can't even play the game now. And my free time is bleeding away. How will I know when the game is stable enough for me to come back and give this game more of my money?
GTFO fanboy...you will rage as soon as you lose all your stuff.
Every MMO? Seriously? Come on now, MMO covers all genres not just MMORPG, and considering they are probably near 400 MMORPG's out there I sincerely doubt it.Etchesketch wrote: »The only reason this is acceptable for mmos to have this many problems is because of all the fanbois around that keep telling people it's normal.
Only in gaming. lol.
I've been in every mmo since Sierra Online days and this is by FAR the worst ever. I've seen some stunning problems to be sure, but the absolute failure of CSR and inability to correct known issues that have been around since beta and now this ridiculous bank issue, stop. It's by far the worst ever.
The fact that they come in here and tell us (or rather not tell us) the banking issue is solved by the "maint" they did, when clearly they did nothing but restart the servers after the pop overload died down and the bank issue still keeps happening, shows just how bad the situation is.

So let me get this straight, people that KNOW and have experienced MMO launches, and are realists are now fanboys?
Typical WoW "I want it now" generation of kiddies thinking MMO launches must be perfect.
News flash McFly.... no MMO that has EVER launched has been perfect. There has been at least 1 inventory or banking issue in EVERY SINGLE MMO that has ever launched. FACT
So, ask for a refund, or quit. I really don't care. It's very comical to see so many people rage launch after launch. Same sob story, same idle threats. I'll see you in game next week... another FACT

I have been playing MMOs for fourteen years now and this is one of the worst launches yet...next to TOR and AoC.
Anyone suggesting the "wait it out" approach either is a fanboy, or has not had this happen to them yet.

Last night I tried to log on and play a dozen times. Half of the things I tried to do wouldn't work. The other half would kick me out of the game.
So, in a game where time is your money being spent, your suggestion is to "wait it out?"
Then this must e your first game. You even agreed before you played the very first time that there were NO REFUNDS. You people need to learn to read what you agree to before signing contracts. Tort and contractual law will win everytime in this case. You failed...let it go and go away

Most of the big ones. I've been gaming and had every console gen ever made since pong in the sixties. I build an IBM in high school before there were such things as home computers.
Sierra Soy and Merridian included
U/O AC EQ DoC WoW LoTro DoA GW SWTOR EVE
Hell, I can't even remember them all off the top of my head, But I play them all for at least a month or so and usually it's the first month.

Honestly people defending this launch either haven't played many MMOs or are comparing different aspects of launches. As far as server uptime and stability, yeah they've done pretty well. Client stability isn't that great, and I'm really hard pressed to think of any MMO that had as many bugged quests (especially in a game setup with quests as the primary progression mechanism). Having character losses is nearly unheard of.
Having a few broken quests and a buggy client weren't even deal breakers for me, I've played other launches and realize this stuff is pretty common early on. Having my 100+ hour character wiped is demoralizing and I really have no desire to simply start over.
revanghost wrote: »I read in another topic about how someone will ask for a refund if all of these problems continue for much longer.
I am at that point, too. This game is broken and should not have been launched. I want my $80 back.
The question is: how many are at this point or, am I overreacting? And, will they actually give us our money back?

well if this isn't the biggest bag of horsecrap ever....I played that game at launch and it was UNPLAYABLE.I have been playing MMOs for fourteen years now and this is one of the worst launches yet...next to TOR and AoC.
This had me laughing so hard. 14 years huh? EQ, EQ2, WoW ALL had worse bugs in their launches than this game, clearly the rose tinted glasses are getting in your way.
and I still play one of those games, and beta'd all of themAnyone suggesting the "wait it out" approach either is a fanboy, or has not had this happen to them yet.
Anyone suggesting Panic and abandon ship clearly hasn't been playing mmo's for 14 years, at least not consistently. I'm willing to wager that you play a month here and there, jumping from mmo to mmo treating them like pokemon "GOTTA TRY THEM ALL!!" you sir are laughable at best!

These are all bugs from earliest beta!!
At this point I even stopped caring about the money, them 75€ are gone.
I´m pondering if I actually still care for the game anymore, after those initial 4 days I dared actually playing it.

Roflol, this is how the fanbois always end up... Sorry little man, you couldn't possibly offend me.
I just have standards and the CSR situation in this game is failing at every level. Anyone that thinks this is NORMAL for an mmorpg, is just wrong. This sort of problem has been the CAUSE of death for many, many mmorpgs.
If that's your goal for the game, glad it's working out for you. I would rather they used the criticism to improve, yet sadly, all we are getting so far is idle chat.
