Other classes should not need to consume inferior sources of Invisibility and Invisibility Detection through potions.
So please provide everyone easier access to both so we can find each other in the dark and all hold hands.

Frankly, that would be OK because I'd imagine that the Illusion Staff's spells will have drawbacks that NB's don't have, such as cost or a cast time. People freak about that they aren't a snowflake anymore and it really hurts the game in the long run. People can't chance classes, so why not give them access to effects that other classes enjoy but make them less effective than the class-specific version of that spell?

Bad move imho. Not because it is is being stolen / taken from NB, but because every one will have easy access to it. Too easy if you ask me.
That is like.. idk.. like giving mages guild "Teleportation" skill that will be "copy" of Streak, but better... Christ, usually if you want to have what other class have, you can but it takes a lot of sacrifice. For example, you are DK, but want pets ? Well you can use a gear set or be WW... Werewolf... pets in new update... Oh. dont even get me started on that...
Already if you want "cloak" on non NB you have invisibility potions. There, you can be invisible, but not as good as NB can be at it.
Anyway, rant over... Next month after patch ! Hot news, on eso forums...
N .E. R. F. F. E. A. R. ! !
I am telling you, almost all post will be like this...
Ehh... another reason not to return to PvP... I still have good & happy memories... dont want to spoil them.

Except when they do the opposite like what has happened with Turn Evil.

False, a few notes about the two spells:
- Turn Evil is a stamina-based ability that heals allies in addition to the fear effect, but only does so in a circle.
- The NB Fear spell can also be placed as a trap and costs magicka (which greatly benefits stamina NB's).
- Turn Evil's effects only exist in the circle, making it irrelevant in PvP because standing still in a circle gets you killed.
- Using stamina to do the same thing you can do with magicka is foolish, leaving with fewer resources for damage.
The two spells are different enough from one another that they can exist together as they are. Turn Evil has applications in PvE because mobility isn't as important, but Turn Evil fails to replace NB Fear in PvP because of it's non-mobile nature. NB Fear continues to be a superior choice in PvP. The sky isn't falling.
