    Well that's just stupid. Some of us don't like fire staves so honestly I don't even know what to say about this game anymore. Quality of gameplay is at an alltime low and appears to be trending down.

    Wonderful. So now if I want to stun someone on MagicaNecro I have to be right on top of them. It will feel great when fighting StamDK heavy armour meta. RIP Necros :disappointed:

    Offense-oriented heavy armor sets took some nerfs with 5.1 (Veiled Heritance especially - it's completely useless now). There are also a lot of other changes to a large number of skills, so keep that in mind. Destructive Reach, Entropy, Soul Trap, the newly improved Skeletal Mage, and partially un-nerfed Blastbones should all combine to help Necromancer offense quite a bit. But yes, CC access is certainly a problem. I think we're kind of forced into being Stage 4 Vampires, and limited to using Drain with it's 12m range.

    Magden and magnecro lost their stun. Thanks ZOS. Tell me how to stun my target now.....

    Also magsorc and magblade are now forced to get closer to their targets to cc them. I guess the only ranged class should be bowblades with their FREE CC from a stealthed snipe wich got buffed btw. I really dont like where this is going.

    Tbh, only Bad players complained about CC "Meta".

    Without CCs in this game how you gonna drain someones stamina? How you align a proper burst if you dont have a short window to put it?

    If you dont CC your target will just block as soon as you start some burst. And fights will never end. Every class needs a viable CC to make sure your burst Rotation hits and He doesnt block/dodge it.

    Permafrost, Ice Mages, WW Fear, Sorc Curse. Play any duel and the first thing half the duelists in the game do is opener, stun, finisher. Beat that and they'l spam you with CC until you cant break free.

    If they “spam you with CCs until you can’t break free” you need better stam management/sustain in your build my dude ;) I have no issues sustaining cc breaks and multiple roll dodges on my sorc with 12.5k stam. It’s literally all a l2p issue, and by the looks of it it sounds like you really don’t know what you’re doing in pvp. Please do not partake in balance discussions if you have no idea what you’re talking about. Not trying to be toxic but this is ridiculously ignorant lol.

    lightning clench now does aoe spammable damage, meaning it gets a huge damage buff. on my sorc it is something like 8k aoe damage. for 2160. with the master destro, that goes down ~1600 cost and up to 10k+ damage. insane.

    It’s even shown on pts that shock clench does not stun. So you’re incorrect on how r gained a cc

    becuase there is an editing error in the patch motes, see here-
    Destructive Reach(sic) (morph): This morph retains the unique functionality for each elemental staff type you choose, but no longer deals damage over time. Flame Clench knocks the target back and stuns them for the duration; Frost Clench Immobilizes the target. Shock converts the attack into an AoE explosion, and deals our AoE damage standard.


    Destructive Reach (morph): This morph increases the range to 28 meters and reduces the cost to 2430 at Rank IV.


    it has reach as both morphs and some people cant make the logical jump that clench is suppose to be the one that doesnt increase the range.

    reach has no specific changes based on the type of staff, outside the normal status effect proc chance.

    CP-Enabled duels aren't representative of all PvP, not by a long shot.

    Hmmm, I didn't pay close attention, but I don't remember seeing numbers anywhere close to that on my Warden (no Master's Staff). What sort of gear setup is your Sorcerer in?

    You can either have a knockback or an immobilize, I call that CC. If you choose to use a Lightning Staff you won’t have any CC, that’s right, still the other two staves offer them. Although I don’t know why Lightning Reach must be a spammable AoE, makes not much sense to me in the light of Impulse.
