ESO hasn't worked since the PvP lead became combat lead. That's what gave us Argonians that are not reistant to poison, Bosmers not stealthy, Altmers regenerating stamina with SPELL recharge, top nightblade assassination skill becoming a tank one, and so on.
And yet I still play it. Alot less than before though. Mostly play Warframe and Starbound nowadays. The wife plays Dragon Age.
Oh, you meant when the servers are down, maybe ? Well, I barely notice, those days.
I moved to Rust. It gets compared with dayz a lot, but really it's a completely different game. It's a basically a true sandbox mmo fps with awesome rpg systems like harvesting, crafting, scavenging and construction. It's an amazing open world game that features beautiful procedurally generated maps.
Rust isn't for everyone. It has an oldschool feel to it with a steeper learning curve than most games and no handholding. Like all PC first person shooters, there are issues with aimbots and esp, but at least there are player-run servers with attentive admins who can ban troublemakers. Though it can be customized by admins, it is a full-loot PVP game by default, which I don't think most ESO players could deal with.
What I love best is the communication from its developer, Facepunch. It started as a basic concept launched as an early access Steam game and the devs have extensively explained the development process over the years. Here are some examples of how well they communicate despite the fact they are a small studio:
Playing survival games most of the time now, found an epic server for Conan Exiles that I am very much enjoying. Tried getting back into FFXIV but had a security token debacle that had me contacting their customer service for a week and a half, so that was a turn off.
Logging into ESO today to see what my login calendar looks like and going back to Conan.
