Maintenance for the week of December 15:

The "Emergency Maintenance" broke my character.

I was playing just fine without any problems until the server went down for "maintenance." When the server came back up my VR2 Sorcerer had lost all of its equipped gear, and a few armor items from its inventory. I could almost deal with that as I am able to craft gear if needed, what I can't deal with is the fact that all of my skills were completely reset and I only have 1 skill point available.

Please tell me how I'm supposed to complete VR content on a naked and ability-less toon.

    Same problem here. I actually just checked my bank (since many seem to have lost their banks) and my bank/inventory upgrades are there, and there's about 5 items that weren't completely lost (mostly those dungeon reward flavor items). I think I have 5 items out of over 100 (1 item in inventory, and 4 in the bank).

    All spent skill points are gone, and my ticket was supposedly escalated a few hours ago. All this happened prior to the emergency maintenance, and they didn't seem to do any type of rollback at all.

    Ohhh man that's a bad one. The skill reset is killer. Call them, wait on hold for an hour, tell them to give you your skill points back. Don't let them just "escalate" your problem either. They have the power to fix that and they should while you're on the phone.

    Did you try buying a respec? The gold sink will suck but it might make them come back. Worth a shot at this point.

    No, I haven't tried buying a respec, and I don't plan to. Mainly because I don't have the gold. I haven't been selling items but rather deconstructing them to level crafting. Respec will probably cost somewhere around 15,000. Not really worth it on a chance.

    Thing is, I don't want to quit. Bugs happen. I just want it fixed.

    I've played too many MMO's at launch to quit because of a bug or random issues happening within the first month or so.

    Broke my char as well. I have no skills no skill points no armor no gear no nothing. My bank has been wiped i cant do any thing on my toon at all

    Understandable. Thing is...you only have one skill point right? Go check the price and see if it reflects the price it would have been for all of those skill points....or just the one you currently have. Price varies according to how many points you have spent.

    If it's happening to multiple people there's a slightly better chance they'll actually care and get it fixed faster. So that's the bright side of all of this I guess.

    Just checked, it will cost 13k to respec. Which means the game knows that I've spent the points, it just doesn't register that they are there.

    And the running around made realize that my horse has also been repossessed.

    I'm not arguing someone who thinks that telling people to just quit the game when they have problems is decent advice. The OP already said they dont want to. Unless you have some sort of decent advice to contribute now, leave.

    End this now.


    OP - try checking the price of the respec. It might be nothing or close to nothing because you only have one point. At that point it might be worth a shot.

    If not, call support. Don't email them because you won't get a response. The hold they put you on will suck but it's probably your only shot of being able to talk to someone about it.

    Almost same problem here. After maintenance I lost all the UNUSED skills points, and ALL SKYSHARDS lefts... I know it's not even in the same level of a problem as with Thomas, but it is bad too... I lost 2 to 3 (don't remember very well) skill points and 2 shards.

    None of you guys will ever get these things back again. Customer support takes days to respond...they will give you a vanity pet and say you're fixed. My friend lost 57K gold and all his items in his account and they did nothing for him.

    Items and Gold are not the main issue. Those can be replaced. It's the 130 missing skill points that are the biggest problem.

    Figured I'd try getting someone on the phone. I've been on hold over an hour now. I'd say it's much worse than a progression bug, our characters were practically deleted by the server.

    If this happens to me I'm rage quitting and legally demanding a refund. Two of my friends I know from other MMOs have quit already due to the launch bank bugs.....this is getting ridiculous now.

    Same thing has happened to me but it happened going on 2 days ago, contacted customer support and was told that they knew about the problem and my items would be restored after the next patch (*sarcastic yay) made no mention of the missing skill points, so I contacted them again this morning and was told that it (the skill point issue) was now escalated, been sitting here all day hoping for any kind of resolution, going to call them in the morning if it's not sorted out.

    Ok so has there been any type of fix for this bug at all? Cause i would really like to get back to my char that has been striped of skill points armor my bank and even vampirisum. If not my char is worthless
