Comment, information, acknowledgement, update, whatever you want to call it.. Or did i miss it? I did see @ZOS_RichLambert s post but i wouldnt really call that an update since, from what i understand, what hes talking about has nothing to do with console and pvp. Thats where i play so thats what im worried about, because its bad here. But please, inform me if i'm wrong.
Anyway, if i were to call this what it is then this post would be removed.. But if i had to put it as nicely as possible, performance (especially pvp) is very very very bad. And to pretend its not happening, while so many people post about it everyday, could be called MANY things but again ill call it very very very bad.
But please, let me know if i missed something about it. I couldn't find anything (besides the one post) but I would love to know if we have some real information or just the usual zenimax silence..
So you're trying to be as nice as possible by saying performance is very bad but then you title the post a performance disgrace? And on top of that you have your name as eso lags. It seems like you are more interested in antagonizing than being constructive.

Part of the problem is that people are simply not giving constructive feedback that accurately describes what they are experiencing. There is hyperbolic over use of terms like "broken" and "unplayable" when neither of those is actually the case, for example. Furthermore, such language doesn't describe the problem in a way that helps the developers understand what the specific issue actually is. Put another way, people aren't being objective in describing what is going on, leading to subjective interpretations of the situation that are going to differ widely. This, on top of the very real possibility that some users are simply not experiencing issues. I don't envy the developers having to sort through this. We could do them all a favor by being more constructive and doing less generalized whining, yes?

I totally agree. Also, when people do post their complaint they not only fail to indicate accurately what it is but they drive any developer away from reading it by lacing the post with asinine comments about the poor quality of the team and how they're only interested in fixing problems if they're related to the crown store. For good measure they then add a few insulting comments about those who report that they don't have the same problems.
People would actually be far better off posting a concise, factual and objective account of their issue on the appropriate technical forum for their platform, rather than here. We know that the only attention they'll get here is from the moderators, whereas the ZOS technical team do actually respond to, and interact with, posters on the technical forums. Just check out the front page of each technical forum and compare the number of ZOS icons to the front page here.

You are wrong. People have tried for years to be constructive. I have tried for years. Putting in countless tickets and bug reports and getting nothing but silence. Posting so many clips and getting nothing but silence. And you think broken is the wrong word? Or unplayable? Dont you think when a game doesnt work as intended, or even close, that it could be considered unplayable? For me, as a small scale/solo player, its unplayable as intended. Yes I can log on and play extremely ineffectively, but that is not playing as intended. I will accomplish nothing, and only get agitated. At least in a populated campaign, as the games pvp was meant to be played.
When I need a skill to go off in pvp and it goes off 5-10 seconds late, thats unplayable. When I need to heal and my vigor is telling me the target is out of range, thats unplayable. When we are crashing or hitting load screens every 15 minutes, thats unplayable. When my health is getting desynced multiple times a day in pvp, thats unplayable. When the game looks like an picture flip book, thats unplayable. And the list goes on. All these issues combined, every day, makes it unplayable.
Since you are on xbox why dont you hop into the 30 day campaign and let me know how it goes for you.. We can compare clips and if you dont have the issues that 99% of us do then you can let me know what you are doing differently.

You can call it what you want it doesnt make it true though
Everything isnt black or white but more of a gray scale
But i agree they need to do something about the performance
Yeah I hear console is worse then pc performance wise
While myself has not really seen any issues overall, (abit of lag in sieges in cryodill during peak hours) and a while back we had a day where the performance was horrific I hear people on all platforms have had huge issues.
They’ve made several addresses they are aware and trying to amend the situation. But I’d imagine it’s not small task.
Megaservers have never been stable in MMORPGs.
Large world pvp has never been stable in MMORPGs. And before someone brings up GW2, the game has a lot less players then eso by quite a margin and they intentionally made the game graphically low to uphold WPVP,
These two combined lead to a huge issue, there’s a reason a lot of mainstream games gutted their world pvp and replaced it with a variety of instanced pvp.
Their easiest fix is likely to remove imperial city and cryodill, and replace it with instanced pvp.
As long as they provide 2v2 3v3 and 5v5 arenas, large scale pvp battles like 20v20 and develope CP modes for them and BGs it will prolly appease most players.
ESO on FB: "Oh we just love our community! The best in the gaming industry!"
ESO on forums: *crickets*
Ugh, they all say that.
GW2 always say they have the best community, too, lol.
Blizzard don't, but that's only because it would be so patently untrue that even they wouldn't try it.
Also, I think they employ most of the trolls, sooner or later and seem to take a perverse pride in them being pretty unpleasant.

I have really bad performance in PvP (prime time). Even PvE is lagging.
Is it my ISP? No, i don't think it is. I have the fastest internet Ziggo has to offer (since not long ago 500/40 Mbit/s download/upload and before that 250/25.)
Ziggo is trustworthy, i always have connection and other games do not have lag. I am pretty sure it's not my internet.
Is it my PC? No i doubt that either. I have a GTX 1650 6 gb from Nvidia and an i7-6700K processor (it's a bit old, 4 years) and 24 gb of ram
I can run Witcher 3 on highest settings and also all other games i play. Fps is always good,, but even if i put ESO on low, it just lags and feels sluggish. That, and then you have weapon swapping not working, heavy attacks bugging out and in PvP just nothing works as it did in 2014. On release the game might not have been perfect, but at least my skills fired in 500vs500vs500 battles. Now it just is crap in 1 vs 1 vs 1.
At least this is my experience. Some say the don't have any issues. But as i read forums a lot do experience the same stuff. Even on consoles.

I've seen plenty of videos on bad performance. Glitches, bugs, overall weirdness, like this...https://youtu.be/B3YPZJahBb4
Abilities not working, the slide show when you travel to wayshrines...https://youtu.be/hVFgFaZ8Pr0
You get it.
What I haven't EVER seen?
I've never seen a video of a massive zerg vs. zerg fight in Cyrodiil that didn't have any lag, even though some players claim they've never experienced any issues in such situations.
I'd love to see it once, just to see what it looks like.
So, to those saying you don't have issues, please, show a recent video (meaning in Elsweyr) of your massive battle without lag. Enough of just claiming it...show it. I'm sure the rest of us would love to know what it looks like.
Until then, I'm just of the opinion you're a liar.
