No, actually its not. Spam would be if i made a bunch of posts myself to get the front page full of performance posts.
But people who dont know each other making similar posts because they cant find any information, comment, response, or ETA, on a major game breaking issue? No. Not spam. Maybe its just a thousand people who actually care asking similar questions. Thats why I said "without trying to do so" and "Its heading in that direction anyway".
I know these things can be hard to understand.

I think that ZOS closed posts with complaints about performance to silence the problem. Like "here they have problems and let them sit in one general post." Just not to make it clear that the problem is massive.
Complaints are at an all time high now, I actually think they might respond this time. If they don't ill be truly dissappointed.

I have really bad performance in PvP (prime time). Even PvE is lagging.
Is it my ISP? No, i don't think it is. I have the fastest internet Ziggo has to offer (since not long ago 500/40 Mbit/s download/upload and before that 250/25.)
Ziggo is trustworthy, i always have connection and other games do not have lag. I am pretty sure it's not my internet.
Is it my PC? No i doubt that either. I have a GTX 1650 6 gb from Nvidia and an i7-6700K processor (it's a bit old, 4 years) and 24 gb of ram
I can run Witcher 3 on highest settings and also all other games i play. Fps is always good,, but even if i put ESO on low, it just lags and feels sluggish. That, and then you have weapon swapping not working, heavy attacks bugging out and in PvP just nothing works as it did in 2014. On release the game might not have been perfect, but at least my skills fired in 500vs500vs500 battles. Now it just is crap in 1 vs 1 vs 1.
At least this is my experience. Some say the don't have any issues. But as i read forums a lot do experience the same stuff. Even on consoles.
Don’t know why people keep posting their internet speeds, this game only uses around 200mb per hour.
I played on satellite back in the day and it never caused these FPS issues or enemies not appearing. It wouldn’t delay my attacks or actions, it would just delay damage done and damaged received.
Right now none of my attacks are delayed and damage done/received are fine, it’s just constant low FPS.
They did something to the game engine files or the server....
Yeah I hear console is worse then pc performance wise
While myself has not really seen any issues overall, (abit of lag in sieges in cryodill during peak hours) and a while back we had a day where the performance was horrific I hear people on all platforms have had huge issues.
They’ve made several addresses they are aware and trying to amend the situation. But I’d imagine it’s not small task.
Megaservers have never been stable in MMORPGs.
Large world pvp has never been stable in MMORPGs. And before someone brings up GW2, the game has a lot less players then eso by quite a margin and they intentionally made the game graphically low to uphold WPVP,
These two combined lead to a huge issue, there’s a reason a lot of mainstream games gutted their world pvp and replaced it with a variety of instanced pvp.
Their easiest fix is likely to remove imperial city and cryodill, and replace it with instanced pvp.
As long as they provide 2v2 3v3 and 5v5 arenas, large scale pvp battles like 20v20 and develope CP modes for them and BGs it will prolly appease most players.
I find it hilarious that people claim "Every MMO lags"
No, no it does not.
I took a break from ESO and played a few other MMO's on ps4. Namely Tera, Neverwinter, and FFXIV.
And while ultimately I came back to ESO, never had any lag in any of those games. Especially FFXIV, which I played the most. No lag in massive city populations, no lag in any group trial, and no lag in PvP.(at times FFXIV has 75 players on screen with everyone's full spell effects going off and no hint of lag) PvP is awful in that game though...not recommended.
Like I said, I ultimately came back to ESO because the combat (when it works) is absolutely addicting and I love the lore, while the other games I listed didn't really hold my attention. The only thing those games have over ESO is performance is pristine, and when things bug out, they actually fix them. Sometimes in the same day.
So, no....it's patently false to claim every game has these issues. It's a hollow attempt at a lame justification, and just flat out untrue.

I am also having to hold buttons down longer in order for my skills to actually cast. Like, I keep swapping my bar too fast and not actually casting any skills. It just feels like everything is taking longer and it's all out of wack. Is this kinda what you guys are talking about? I thought it might have been a (bad) purposeful change that I would just have to get used to but now I'm realizing it really may just be bad lag and poor game performance...? I'm on a base PS4.

Part of the problem is that people are simply not giving constructive feedback that accurately describes what they are experiencing. There is hyperbolic over use of terms like "broken" and "unplayable" when neither of those is actually the case, for example. Furthermore, such language doesn't describe the problem in a way that helps the developers understand what the specific issue actually is. Put another way, people aren't being objective in describing what is going on, leading to subjective interpretations of the situation that are going to differ widely. This, on top of the very real possibility that some users are simply not experiencing issues. I don't envy the developers having to sort through this. We could do them all a favor by being more constructive and doing less generalized whining, yes?

Comment, information, acknowledgement, update, whatever you want to call it.. Or did i miss it? I did see @ZOS_RichLambert s post but i wouldnt really call that an update since, from what i understand, what hes talking about has nothing to do with console and pvp. Thats where i play so thats what im worried about, because its bad here. But please, inform me if i'm wrong.
Anyway, if i were to call this what it is then this post would be removed.. But if i had to put it as nicely as possible, performance (especially pvp) is very very very bad. And to pretend its not happening, while so many people post about it everyday, could be called MANY things but again ill call it very very very bad.
But please, let me know if i missed something about it. I couldn't find anything (besides the one post) but I would love to know if we have some real information or just the usual zenimax silence..
