Standard? Templars would like a word with you.
Yes, Templars lack the buff as well and yes, it sucks. You at least get Minor Sorcery which stacks with the Major buff. Necromancers don't get anything at all to work with in this regard.
I really don't care about the major buffs, you get them from pots anyways.
Really? Nothing at all? Major vulnerability mean anything to you?

Will be awsome in group play, dude was complaining about solo.

For solo play not so much. You can't use destro ulti on that since you've just wasted your ultimate already and with the CD you will weave 2 fast casting skill at best ?
Vulnerability shine ing roup where you can have everyone time their ultimate with yours.
For solo play sorcery would ent a bigger dmg increase then vulnerability by a mile.

No class shield, average sustain, no real pressure, horrid mobility, ***-poor mitigation (major protection for 2s is pointless and requires a corpse). Skills are also pretty expensive to boot.
It looks great on paper, but performs half as good as it looks. Warden 2.0 for sure.
Bummer. Sorry you don't like it. Have fun on your other chars though.

That's my suspicion. The folks who complain about magicka Wardens and this new magicka Necromancer are probably the same people. For the rest of us who aren't competitive gamers and just here to have fun... it's probably fine.

Major Vulnerability has very little impact when solo and this debuff is tied to an ultimate. Having to chain-chug potions just to have a basic, required buff throughout a dungeon or trial is ridiculous. It's one of the reasons why I refuse to play a Templar. You clearly don't care about burning through thousands of potions on wipes, but most players DO. In PvP not having the innate Major Sorcery buff means you can't use any other potion, which is extremely limiting. Having to slot other non-necromancer abilities to "patch-up" an incomplete toolkit and thus forfeit additional bonuses from my passives that rely on slotting certain skills on my bars is terrible.
So for those of us who didn't feel there were all these mistakes made with the Warden, our take-away message from this should be... what?

You in here mad shillin for ZOS

The message I take away is that one half the complainers think the necromancer will be useless, while the other half think it will be deliberately over-powered and P2W. That's the same as when the warden was being tested, and as I found both stamina, magicka, and hybrid wardens just fine for my non-competitive gameplay I expect to find the same with the necromancer.
I was actually planning on posted something similar for nerco.
Nerco healer is honestly boring. I want to love it cause it's nercomancer, but there's a lot of things wrong.
* Ultimate is unsuitable for PvE engagement. It costs 350 ult...which compares to werewolf that lasts longer and does way more.
* There's no usable sets for nerco healer while other classes got something.
- dks got shields
- wardens defensive sets
- nb DPS hybrid healing sets/ ultimate healing sets
- Templars traditional heal sets
Nercomancer has no critical heal sets and buff on dead or rezzing allies don't work well cause of ridiculous cost. Still worst is how unenagaging nercomancer healer feels. I would rather play any other class to heal. I still hope that I will enjoy it when guts live...I really really do but I down to only hyping for Nerco tank and making healer out obligation instead of 4 I originally wanted.

Its pure math. damage wise you give a lot of damage from not using elemental rage. Glacial colossus deal way less damage. Sur the necro can use its delay on blastbone to fit more attack during that 3sec but your looking at 30% dmg buff on like 3 weaves every ultimate drop. For solo play play its not a lot.
