I enjoy going around old zones especially DC. I just go around collecting the skyshards, boss, lorebooks etc as i close the portals. Really efficient way to level up.

The Augur is insufferably unbearable. It's the sort if comedic relief that belongs in a frat boy B-movie from the 80's.

    Fortunately, he can be silenced.

To each his own. I liked him. Then again, I liked running around with Cicero in Skyrim.

I don't like how it is implemented, but don't mind the actual wandering around. However, I want something (console) that tells me which of the stupid things I've closed. I'd rather it be like skyshards since you can pick them up while doing other things and know which ones you missed. If there's a way of tracking progress in game, I haven't noticed it.

I liked the Augur... he was fun (maybe I have a *** sense of humour).... ?

I just followed the Alcast guide and made sure I did all three portals at one time so I didn’t ‘loose my place’.... (I’m also on console)...

I think if they’d brought a Psijic skill like unlock to the Crown Store I’d instantly buy it. It’s by far the worst grind in this game, I find even the Mage‘s Guild more fun as it happens quite naturally whereas Psijik doesn‘t.

I'm on the opposite side of the fence on this one. If they offered a full skill line in the crown store, I would instantly unsub, stop playing, and delete the game.

I'm almost there with the skyshards, but putting skill lines or insta-levels would be my swan song.

It is so linear to level on alts.

No other guild is that linear.

Linear makes people never want to repeat it and that's not great for player retention.

I don't understand comments that say "it's not as bad as their other designs" as if its a good justification and magically makes this grind a good game design...

I liked the Auger too, have one in my house so I can listen too him when I want.

I tried to check out the @Alcast Psijic guide but I'm getting a SSL certificate error, the cert doesn't point to Alcast's domain but his hosting provider.

I actually quite liked it especially on my new character b/c I got to visit a lot of forgotten places I had not been to in ages and nicked a bunch of skyshards and wayshrines in the process.

The fact that wayshrine hopping in older zones was passed off as "new content" was very depressing. I have now done this quest line on 16 characters and every time i do it it makes me want to quit the game more then anything else.

@Itacira I work approx 50 hours a week with at least 10 hours of commute time added to that, I care for my elderly mother, I volunteer with a cat rescue, have 7 of my own rescue cats, 2 rescue dogs and I care for about 7 feral cats including feeding, housing and vet visits, grocery shop, clean and do laundry like other people, even take my dogs to the beach now and again.

The 10 hours I spend commuting are "wasted" not the time I spend doing something I enjoy. I'm a completionist in game and while it wasn't the high point of game time, I did enjoy the Augur and love him as a permanent resident. May even have been achievements too.

So you see I have a VERY full life!

I find it relaxing, but then I either combine it with treasure map hunting or I grab a guildie that's at the same step and we try to do them together (because if you are on the same map, you can almost always share rifts)

Which is why I'm all the more surprised, what's with how precious you should know time is, that you'd dare tell someone that a 4-6 hours grind that they JUST SAID they do not enjoy, is "nothing". If you enjoy it, all the better ! But why would your personal experience trump someone else's ?

I NEVER said it was nothing or that my personal experience "trumped" anyones lol. I said I had done way worse grinds for far less of a reward and that while it was bad it wasn't that bad.

@Itacira Yes I have family and a full-time job; You sound presumptuous there. And that's all you need to know about my personal life.

My opinion is basing the Psijic grind in comparison to the other grinds. Other guild grinds take much longer. Hence the reason I don't know why people complain about this 3-4 hour grind. And on top of that, you start getting fun skills to use after the first 30 minutes so it doesn't have to be done in one sitting.

It's only trying to get people to discover and access more of the map. By the time you've done it 2 or 3 times, you'll remember where they all are.

I've done it on most of my characters and a 2 hour session can easily complete it without referring to the map too much. This is better than the Mages guild because there are only 3 or 4 locations in each zone.

Just came back to the game a few weeks ago. Put second and third characters through Psijic last week, so have had time to cool down from that rotten experience. If I didn't know that other aspects of the game make up for it, and Psijic was an early experience in ESO, would drop this game like a hot potato instantly.

In twenty years of playing at least 12-15 different MMOs, good, bad, lousy, many failed, lots of bogus grinds in them, the Psijic questline is the laziest, most incompetent, poorly designed content I've ever experienced in an MMO or MMO-like game.

All the other guild grinds, including Mage's Guild, in ESO are far less annoying. The reasons that Mage Guild is better is that it is non linear, you don't have to find near all the books, not near as many load screens required, it gives you constant little "cha ching" rewards when you get a new book. Have put 5 characters through that, and though some grindy, in the world of MMO grind, nbd really.

The Psijic atrocity is different. It makes you repeat to nauseating excess game mechanics that are not anywhere near up to par in an A list MMO.

A testament to how bad it is, forum WKs and "affiliates o the game in disguise" can't even manage to defend it.

    & buggy on PS4.

Protection icon doesn't show still on channelling and undo doesn't work right, or maybe ESO's performance is so bad that it seems broken.
