I work, I have a kid, I get very few opportunities to play this game...Saturday night is one of the few nights I have the luxury to stay up late and play.
Just get it through your thick skulls no matter what the reason it is gonna annoy people and rightfully so.
That's fine and dandy, but have a little bit of compassion to the regular developers and IT folks who have to get paged out to respond on a Saturday night to fix an issue like this. Developers and operations engineers are people too, who need sleep and get frustrated when something they worked so hard to release have unexpected, inexplicable, critical problems like this.

I woulda been just fine if they did the maint on monday morning.

Source: My step-dad is a Cisco network engineer, who is constantly on call.

Not in this household, which is representative of many in rural Illinois and most of the rural Midwest US. Sunday is the day we go to church and try and stay off the computer.
