yea I did. Why doesn't it make sense that an US made game hosted on US servers wouldn't prioritize US prime times? It would make sense to me if it was the case with any other country it is simple logic, I dont understand why you would disagree.

Because ESO is not JUST a North American, EDT MMO. It is WORLD WIDE.

Not to be rude, but, you do realise the entire game is not run out of that ONE office right?
Hahaha I'm right there with ya buddy. I'm just saying the age range for this game since it is mature but of course you will have teenagers playing is an age range that is more likely to be home on the computer at noon on sunday than midnight on saturday.bkpiazzab14_ESO wrote: »except those of us with kids

To be honest this shows that they are there to try and repair the game during the times most companies don't have a team doing this. They want their game to succeed and I applaud them for it. I would take a maintenance in the middle of a weekend to fix stability over having long loads and other issues until Monday or Tuesday.

You are not being rude and I do realize that. I just don't understand why someone wouldn't understand that a company based out of the US would prioritize US prime times over say Australia...
I can't see a rational argument against that.

We're not complaining about "unscheduled maintenance." We are complaining that a non-gamebreaking issue for many, if not most people (I still question as to whether the people having problems are trying to run this game on hardware below minimum specs or with shoddy ISPs, or GBs of *** downloading at the same time or something, since I'm having no real issues), is the cause of PRIME TIME maintenance. It would be different if they were patching a major exploit (like Cyrodiil population controls not working??!) or something like that.

it is easy to disagree when you are not in the same situation.
I bet if the shoe was on the other foot, you would be here also complaining that they brought the servers down during your sunday afternoon play time.
As many have stated there is no good time to bring them down.
but seeing as this is emergency and not scheduled then everyone's point is moot.
This has been unavoidable.

I would absolutely complain. What I would not do is try to argue that it doesn't make sense for them to prioritize (other country who made the game) prime time....because that makes no sense.
ahh well i logged off about 3 hours ago and everything was fine nobody complaining etc... so i just figured its just the same ol issues that have been going on for the past couple of days.

That's fine and dandy, but have a little bit of compassion to the regular developers and IT folks who have to get paged out to respond on a Saturday night to fix an issue like this. Developers and operations engineers are people too, who need sleep and get frustrated when something they worked so hard to release have unexpected, inexplicable, critical problems like this.
