- Update 23Ice Furnace: This item set now grants Spell Damage, rather than Weapon Damage for the 4 piece bonus
Similarly for magdens, though not as egregious. Animal Companion & Green Balance have a good nature theme going, but Winter's Embrace throws everything off with it's abrupt focus on Frost magic.
Thematically-speaking, I'd say NBs (both) and magDKs are the best-designed classes.
The NB toolkit has a very flavourful dark/blood magic theme to all 3 of its skill lines. Same can be said for magDKs, which are consistently portrayed as fire-breathing, dragon-like characters.
Contrast this to something like Magsorc. On one hand they're a lightning mage. But for some odd reason they also specialise in summoning Daedra? And also mess around with... crystals..?
Don't get me wrong, from a functional, combat standpoint, magsorc has one of the strongest and most cohesive class toolkits around. But the design themes of the individual skill lines are all over the place.

At the other end of the spectrum, some classes like Stamsorc barely have any class identity to comment on.
