Frankly I'm not bothered whether there are gold billionaires or not, it means nothing as they wouldn't have anything to spend their gold on beyond a few million anyway, and the relevance of it to the case for or against an alternative trading system is questionable.
Its only possible relevance is if defenders of the present system believe that it is a massive gold sink and it should turn out that most of the gold concerned isn't actually disappearing out of the game (which is the sole purpose of a gold sink) but is simply transferring from multiple player bank accounts into a very few player bank accounts. That would put in question both the effectiveness of the gold sink as well as the veracity of the claim often made that the game has a vibrant economy.

If you don’t even understand what a gold sink is, maybe stop before you make a fool of yourself trying to say the trader bid system (aka billions of gold being removed from the game every week) isn’t this game’s biggest gold sink.

I never said that it wasn't, but clearly if there are billions of gold in traders' bank accounts then clearly it's not as big a gold sink as some would claim that it is.

Of course.I was a employee in a Chinese game studio.Farming gold was my work.20+characters do the same action. This compony even have support who known three languages.I have 4 workmates in this game we can farm 500000 one day.
I’m sure somewhere a handful of people might have hit a billion, but only cuz I also know how easy it is to get millions through mostly casual play.

Yet you vote no?
Poll is no longer valid.
I also think ESO has billionaires. Money is easy to get, even for a slacker like me who played only 2 hours a day a few days a week.
No, I didn't have even a million though. But I can imagine people playing all day all week like some seem to do and sell all stuff.. yeah they could make billionaires.

To reinforce your point though, if an AH was introduced tomorrow, I'd buy every Cornflower posted and stand there all day long and buy all the new ones posted and repost for 5000 gold each just to hear the chorus of cries from players that complain about the prices currently.

I've seen a guy stream with 999 million on one character. They most certainly do exist.
