Trust me. If your performance is anything less than top notch, some people will use it as an excuse to harass you if you draw their ire. I've seen similar cases in other games where people will try to pull someone's logs just to put them down for something they said on that game's forums. Doesn't even have to be related to whatever it is that was said. Usually the logs used are also flawed in some way, including getting the logs for the wrong person, but that doesn't seem to matter to them either.
That doesn't even begin to cover what happens in game when someone decides to start flashing their e-peen during or imediatly after a dungeon or raid.
As for me, no, I havn't been harassed over it yet. Not in ESO anyway. I never really use such things to begin with though, aside from a few test dummy parses, and I've mostly just been questing with my new necromancer since Elsweyr went live."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster...when you gaze long into the abyss the abyss also gazes into you..."2 -

I also feel the default of anonymous has something to do with it. I suspect very few folks running PUGs or outside of static groups have their name displayed. As a result the few people that might be logging end up with a large pool of anonymous players making it hard to keep track of who they have played with.0 -

Sansoul✭✭✭When the Combat Logging feature was announced many players voiced their worry that they would experience harassment due to other players being able to view their logs. They expressed concern that their names would be blacklisted on Reddit, other players would harass them after dungeons, and pug trial groups would kick them.
So out of curiosity now that the feature has been live for weeks, has anyone actually experienced any of those things?
Define "Harassment".
Because I see generation Z throwing this phrase around like candy anytime they don't get a participation trophy for something.

I defend general performance as well as the people who get *** on by this forum on the daily who are just trying to do the best they can on something monumentally more complex than I can ever imagine since I'm not a programmer or even know basic code. I understand the task laid out before them and I understand this game has been their baby for years and this forum does nothing but wring their necks over any inconvenience. I won't disrespect the developers just because my game stutters whenever I walk through Rimmen or get into a fight in Cyrodiil.
I've seen improvements be made before, I know they can do it, and i also know that crap takes time. I'm very patient, this game isn't going anywhere and I don't plan on dying tomorrow so I can wait and deal with it.

This is a rather dumb use of it but does show how it is open to being exploited. If they did this in a simple craglorn trial on normal difficulty then it shows just how poor of a design this is as and open to abuse as I explained after it was announced.
Raiders ignored my comments and said it needed to work the way it did because they were to scared they would lose the tool if they admitted the issues were real or they could not see past a shiny new toy to see the realities. It is a good tool for raiding and the person who developed the site did all they could with how Zos had things setup. It comes down to Zos being to lazy to do things right no their side.
For those who want to use this for normal craglorn pug runs for some absurd reason, they need to be upfront about it when calling for people to form the group or they come off looking like an jerk or idiot asking about it mid ways through the run.
Again, the tool is good for serous raiding but the person who was running that nCraglorn trial noted above was not going to get any worthwhile information from it. DPS is never an issue there, nor are buffs and debuffs in normal. The only issue is the top group not handling mechanics and the log does not help with that.Edited by idk on June 21, 2019 7:36PM5 -

About disrespect - all issues with exception of undeniable ones, are denied/ignored by ZOS, and we only receive some "update" on them only when ZOS manages to fix something (usually something else). And new TOS in times of trash performance is direct act of disrespect to their customers. So it's not us who don't respect Bethesda/ZOS, it's them who release games like FO76 and TES:Blades and don't fix performance issues and bugs for years.7 -

I think they are just angry so they are not communicating well. Their analogy about the care is really absurd and not applicable and is a great example of what I said. Their comments really have nothing to do with the OP. They are just venting.
How it is a poor analogy and not applicable and the rest is just worded well is it ignores the strongest caveat with the agreement between us and Zos. It ignores that each and every one of us can cease supporting Zos financially.

Yes, new TOS clearly states that company doesn't guarantee service in terms of server hardware capacity. They just covered from possible fire because if before Elsweyr only PVP-ers had major problems, after new patch majority has problems.
